This man is a walking plot device. And in terms of personality, he's exactly the kind of man a lady archaeologist in the field would want. He's big, strong, and sexually non-threatening. He does whatever you tell him to do and will be there for you no matter what. You can sleep without worry, knowing he will never get rapey in any form. Ever an optimist and never bitter, Jonah will cheer you up when you're down and advice prudence when you're too excited. He is the perfect friend to watch your back, and you would be secure in the knowledge this man's eyes shall never wander lower.
In terms of Roth and Jonah both molding Lara into the warrior that she was against Trinity, if Roth was Dr. Frankenstein, and Lara was his monster, then Jonah was Igor.
This game has some of the best facial animations and voice acting in cutscenes I've ever seen even if it's my least fav in the series but it's not bad by any means for me. TR 9/10 rottr 8/10 and shadow was a 7/10 for me. I liked the scary parts of this game but the overall story didn't sell me too much and the pacing is a bit off when u do hidden city stuff/ and finally the last boss is kinda lame but the lead up is cool to it and the combat is fun but not enough of it lots of ups and downs :/
if you look at the first game you’ll notice he looks a lot more like the 2013 model in SOTTR. I’m not sure why they made him look like that in rise, I agree it’s a weird switch. I think there’s a reddit post about the switch and why he looks different on the tomb raider subreddit.
Is it me or in Rise of the Tomb Raider Jonah looked African/African-American/African-British then in Shadow of the Tomb Raider looked totally different ... did he do some plastic surgery, bleach his skin and hit the gym in one of the DLCs I missed?
im so late but in the first reboot for tomb raider in 2013, jonah looks almost exactly like he does in shadow of the tomb raider. I am very confused as to what changed for rise of the tomb raider and why they changed it both ways
You wish! Look at his tats. And his greenstone pendants. All of that points to him being a Māori! This is on top of his origins as a cook who was hired in new Zealand.
@@j46s96 mate the developers clearly intended for Jonah to be a Māori. Look up his backstory. Also Māori tattoos do implement the spiral forms a lot, which is clearly what he has.
@@islandvibez yeah I’m not commenting on whether or not the developers intended for him to be Māori. All I’m saying is his tattoos look more like Tahitian tatau than Māori moko. If you knew anything about Māori moko you’d know it looks nothing like what he has
