thanks for posting this, our guild just finished 13/13 Heroic, but I'm still new to shadow priest more or less, and I need to do better.

@@skimmynz When you’re reviewing your own log, what are the main things you look at improving as s priest, in general? I don’t know what has biggest impact on my dps, like should i just be sending archangel and engi gloves off CD or saving them for specific windows, is reapplying DoTs worth the gcd’s just because i got a trinket proc right after i applied them, it’s hard to judge in the moment, even with weak auras. maybe i just need more practice. I came from fire mage last expac so there wasnt much to look at besides obvious ones like using CDs effectively and always cast and don’t waste hot streak procs. But that was wrath, and I never played cata before and now things are harder. I can’t find parsing guides for s priest for each specific encounter, i’d have to sit down and really figure each fight out at this point

@@kattatonik2356 The only thing I as a nub can say about Archangel is, 5 stacks(obviously) and less than 2 sec left on Mind blast cooldown so you can squeeze in 3 MB.

@@kattatonik2356 Mind Flay has one of the biggest impacts on your DPS, you want to make your delay between casts is as low as possible whilst also clipping correctly. That alone can be like equipping another bis item. There are weakauras such as FakeQueue that can help with this but having a good castbar and practicing alot will make the most difference. When I look at top logs for fights, I check what targets they focussed and how many times they casted particular spells. Compare to mine, try that out next raid, rinse repeat. I'll upload some boss guides for shadow soon!

hi!~ been watching ur vids since wotlk. super awesome info! also the WA for MF spell queue is no longer needed. they fixed pandemic on MF so u can spam it and u wont F up your ticks! :D.... EDIT: correction because i feel like some may misunderstand what i mean by 'spam'. you wanna do 2 ticks of MF for the last tick to carry over on next cast. so first cast 2 ticks 2nd cast 4 ticks. no this doesn't mean you still need to wait for the 4th tick to happen as long as you don't recast MF in the middle of your cast bar. just don't let the cast on MF completely finish... i'm bad at explaining things please just make a video EDIT: MF also snapshots. that includes things like archangel, evangalism, orb proc, trinkets. go sweat

#showtooltip Mind spike /run FQ() /cast Berserking /use 10 /use [nocombat,group:raid] Volcanic Potion /cleartarget [dead][noharm] /targetenemy [noexists] /cast Mind Spike Mind Spike, into prepot when not in combat and in a Raid,auto target :) Might not need the fq, but just in case.
