Fun fact: Eggman actually has a secret dialogue where if you don’t beat Devil Doom around 9 minutes, there will be dialogues where the comet’s gas leaks into Sonic and co.’s shelter. One of the dialogues has Eggman confessing to Shadow that he had lied about creating him and that one of his robots saved him. Sucks how you have to prolong the fight to be able to hear it.
Well to be fair, the game gives plenty of clues that Shadow is the original. Omega points out in Heroes that in order to clone Shadow, Eggman would need the original; and Shadow was stored in a separate room than the androids, and there’d be no point in storing a singular Shadow away from the rest if there wasn’t something important about that one. Shadow The Hedgehog (the game) is about Shadow’s resurfacing memories, which an android replica wouldn’t have. Eggman may be the dumbest genius alive, but implanting false memories in his creations would serve zero purpose and only make them unpredictable. The android Shadows in Iron Jungle don’t have any individuality and have lock-on missiles built into their arm; and last I checked, Shadow can’t shoot any missiles out of his appendages. Hell, one of the neutral-dark ending library sequences is titled “The Doctor’s Lie”, so the game didn’t at all need to confirm beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Shadow you play is the real one. There was so much pointing to Shadow being the original that confirmation was just for the dumb players who couldn’t figure it out on their own.
Well, he said they placed those ruins on Earth thousands of years ago when ya get there. I'm assumin' this plan has been in the works for quite a while before Project Shadow.
Yeah, would've paid off just fine for him in the end though if he'd been nicer to Shadow. I guess it's more amazing however that all of the other cataclysmic crap throughout the history of Sonic's world didn't interfere with what all he was setting up.
***** Unfortunately yeah. :P My parents had to buy me a PS2 because of this very game. It was the first Sonic game I played on a video game console and it's probably my most played Sonic game with SA2B and '06. :) I don't care what everyone says about the crappy kid friendly Sonic of the present, I effing played this game as an effing 14 year old and I loved every second of it. It's also one of the few Sonic games I did 100%! Kidz these days... :P

Dood Claw Very well said, my friend! Let me add a little bit of stats there. :D Sonic'06 had actually became a "Platinum" title, so did Unleashed (360 versions). Who am I kidding? Both Adventures (Player's Choice) and Heroes were "Platinum" too! ShadowTH and the Riders games didn't reach the "Platinum level", but I can assure you that those are damn good Sonic games too! SR:ZG has the greatest plot that any Sonic had EVER! The SA2 re-release is standing still in the Top 20 Arcade Game list of Xbox Live SINCE IT'S EFFING RELEASE TWO YEARS AGO among world phenomenons such as Plants vs. Zombies or effing Minecraft. No Sonic game had reached "the Platinum level" since Unleashed...not even Generations...I wonder why...xD

I heard that Devil Doom sometimes bleeds when Shadow throws a chaos spear at him, this marks the first time Sonic has blood in his games. The second time is the disgusting Perfect Dark Gaia transformation and that part where Sonic one shots him.
The aliens bleed green blood too. There are lots of 'kids' games that contain blood. They just make it a different colour so it manages to slip by the censors.
I think it was more due to my frustration with the game in general, I was tiered and annoyed because of having to beat the game so many times just to unlock the last episode.
A very anti climatic death for black doom. I wish if had been a lot more violent like dark Gaia or the biolizard. He tortured so many innocent beings and he just keels over. He should have died screaming in agony. Green blood spraying everywhere as his body fell apart piece by piece. They definitely slacked off while creating this boss! Look at the way some of his soldiers die. Bits of blood and flesh every where. Why did he die so unrealistically!? Wtf!!!
Katelyn the White Werewolf Tbh they don’t even do tht for half of the final bosses either. For example, we didn’t have to see no Biolizard or Perfect Gaia remains or anything.

@@muanims titan bosses are just that - bosses. And they're mainly awesome thanks to the songs and the fact that you're fighting them as Super Sonic. This Shadow content can potentially be even better than that (I doubt that but still).
In all of the Sonic games I have played in decades, I prefer Super Shadow in Shadow Hedgehog a lot because besides his flight, Jump dash, Shoot energy blast, Chaos Spear, he can use any other moves like Chaos Control and Chaos Blast. Now this is where he unleashed his Ultimate Power! 😎

This game is only hated on because people don't understand that Sonic can have edgy things Honestly I miss when Sonic games were experimental and risky. The guns, swearing, alien invasion, and choosing to be a hero or villain was awesome. If Sonic Fandom wasn't so allergic to cool stuff we would've had spinoff games for other characters like Eggman, Knuckles, Tails, etc. It would've been incredible
only issue i have with it IS HOW EASSYYYYY it is like seriously this was really underwhelming i know other sonic games have easy final bosses but this is just beyond easy
What's really ridiculous about this bossfight is you have to charge up the chaos spear, but your constantly being attacked and are constant risk of resetting that charge up, which wastes time and thus rings. Rings of which you can only obtain after Black Doom uses chaos control, however even then the rings are really hard to obtain, AND you don't get enough chance to grab any. Meaning your in a constant cycle of getting and losing rings. This is all dependent on your skill as a player, and I'm not very skilled myself. So that makes the bossfight super obnoxious. Which is why I feel like I've been slapped in the face by seeing you beat him in under 2 minutes.

Actually, you can. All those debris flying around Devil Doom can be destroyed to fill up the Chaos Blast gauge. It's just no one really does it because it's kinda impractical.
@@ArtFenixAsordis bro yes it is. The normal widescreen patch wouldn't have the hero/dark bars stretched that far, it would be in the center of the screen aligned to where the 4:3 version would have the hero/dark bars
