It's Jace. His blood is also the reason Simon was protected from the Soul Sword. Clary shielding him did absolutely nothing, and would have had no effect if he hadn't already drank Jace's blood.

The correct term is Daywalker. Shadowhunters uses weird terms like mundanes to describe mortal humans, downworlders, to describe vampires & werewolves & so on, warlocks which also describe male witches or better wizards and seelies to describe fairies, elves, nymphs, gnomes & so on.
