This deck is not only perfection but truly magical ✨️ I got a used copy of this deck yesterday and I can't put it down. It really speaks to my soul! I wouldn't change anything about this deck! Thanks for sharing 😊
That's funny. I ordered this deck a few minutes before I found your video. I spent a lot of time compairing one deck to another, etc. without beeing very much enthousiastic. And that Shadowscapes Tarot appeared in my search. And imeadiately I've been attracted by it. There's something smooth and out of fashion, out of time, in the way these illustrations are made. It's an honest artistic work. We can feel in these pictures that the artist gave its best. She gave some part of her soul in these works of art and it feels good thoughts or energies. I'm in a hurry to have here, near me. The presentation that you've made of that tarot is sweet and sharp. I will follow your channel now ! ;-)
Ooh nice! Enjoy the deck. And yes, you described it perfectly - the art comes from the soul and seems very honest and unworried about what spectators might think. Sort of pure. 😌
Im 4 minutes into the video. I like how you explain the images and symbols and also the way you speak is very very calming. I want to eventually draw things like this.
Super late to the party also, I just bought them last week 😁 had never considered them and then one day I started thinking about them. Gorgeous deck. I'm a beginner, so I'm still learning how to read them.
This was incredible! I would love to see more videos like this. I am going to get this deck which will be one of my firsts! I subbed to you also. Blessed Be!
We also love listening to you Anya, I’ll start using mine more often! Did you made the video private, the one you talk about you and your WoW background (Blood Elf warlock here 😎) because we can’t see it.
Thank you for your engaging and insightful analysis of Shadowscapes! I’m new to tarot and have a beginner/learning deck, but want something more intuitive. I’m strongly considering buying this deck. Should I do so, I intend to do a deck study on it. Everything you said is invaluable for this! I intend to use the transcript in aiding my study.
I bought this deck 2 months ago. It's my first deck and I felt the enthusiasm of my childhood when I unboxed it! It is indeed amazing!! Loved your video and totally agree with you😊
Hi, it's been a few months but how's the deck? I'm new to tarot and i feel a pretty strong pull to this deck. Would you recommend getting this as a first deck?
I am 5 minutes in the video and I already adore it!!! I have the same deck and it is so nice to see that somebody has the same interpretation of cards through different eyes. 💜✨🧚🏻♀️
I've had these cards since highschool. I don't know about their bad rep that they have but I personally love every single card. They're intricate, explorative and have such depth.
This is my favorite and only deck. It was the first deck I became acquainted with. I recently began to study carefully each card, including the book that comes with it. Even then, I didn't realize some of the great things you mentioned here, like the holly and left-handedness. I'm just curious if possible, can you make a video of each card, or based on the main cards, major and minor arcana? I'd really love to each card in greater detail. Thank you so much
I only had the deck for a short amount of time because I gifted it to someone afterwards, and making a video for each card would be a bit much! But maybe my other videos speaking about single cards from the RWS deck can still give some food for thought for this deck. :)
Hi Dear, this video is from 2018, and I am adquiring this deck only this year 2020. This was a beautiful and very deep review. I loved the way you saw the cards and the world the painter created. I connected very well with your ways of described them as well, I will follow you on your instagram as well to see more of your opinions. Thanks dear, blessed be.
I love your interpretations! I’ve only been interested in this deck as of lately and your video has definitely convinced me that I would love to work with it.
It was beautiful to listen and watch, please do not stop makinh long videos, those are the best!! 💚 I just go my Shadowscapes Deck and it has been on my wishlist for so long, I can't wait to pathwork in this magical world!
Thank you so much for those encouraging words! It's always good to know some people enjoy long videos. I wish you many wonderful, magical experiences and insights with your new deck. :)
Thank you so much for such intricately detailed explanations on this deck. I fell in love with the artist which inspired me to buy this deck. However l have felt overwhelmed by the imagery in doing my own work with them. You offered such tremendous insights into the characters and symbolism that inspires me to work wcith the deck even more. I am excited that Shadowscapes is less shadowy now that you have shed more light upon it! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
That's interesting, I haven't heard negative things about the concept of the deck so far. Just the quality - the small size and the flimsy cardstock are definitely an absolute shame. But the images themselves are absolutely brilliant! Glad the video awakened your interest in it. 😌
I saw the title of this video in my recommendations and immediately thought to myself "That's definitely something I should watch because I have that deck." and you didn't disappoint!
@@AnyaEsma I actually wanted it for a good few years until I finally got it last year. It's a beautiful deck, but not what I expected in all honesty. I used to think it'd be basically the deck I'd choose if I had to "pick one and keep that one and only that one" but it turns out I still use my stock Rider-Waite deck at times. I love the Shadowscapes and the imagery is beautiful, but the energy my deck puts out is different from the energy my Waite deck puts out! I get readings that are generally more blunt from my Waite deck and more sugar-coated readings from my Shadowscapes deck. Maybe it's just me? I absolutely love both decks, though.
I see what you mean - the Shadowscapes is more gentle, fragile, and even a bit cold at times. I think it is too "set" in its tone and imagery to be the only deck to work with. Having multiple decks for different settings or a very neutral deck is better in that regard!
Your videos are not only relaxing but are very informative. I had been so close-minded towards tarot readings and binging on your videos has slightly changed that. Not to mention, all the decks you introduced are SO pretty to look at and they have so many meanings that one can take away (either from the booklet or from the first glance of the imageries). I am actually forward to getting myself into intuitive tarot reading. I do feel it's a good exercise to be aware of how my subconscious is like.
Thank you, your words mean a lot! I'm glad you feel like you're ready to explore more aspects of Tarot readings. It really is a wonderful exploration ground where you can do anything you want, anything that serves. :) Enjoy!
I am getting this deck in the mail tomorrow it will be my 2nd deck ever my first is the classic rider. I cant wait to connect with it and gain some insight. I am new to tarot and i feel like this us a good intuitive deck i cant wait for it to come! Thanks for the video!
That's amazing, it really is a magical deck with so many stories behind each card. A wonderful world to dive into or something you can just read intuitively. Enjoy your time with it! And consider doing a deck interview - it always sets a nice tone for the cooperation with a deck. :)
So, what are your experiences with the deck? I only had it for a few days before gifting it to my mother and couldn't dive in deeper, so lay your Shadowscapes inspirations on me, everyone! :)
I've been looking at this deck for a while now. Finally decided on getting it and bought it after watching your video! Can't wait for it to arrive. 💖💖💖
Another wonderful video, I love the way you edit your videos and how you added the super clear photos of the cards in th video. I love your attention to detail and the index you created is very helpful as well :) I was interested in this deck and then it fell off my list for some reason. But you've changed that, it's back on my list again 😂
Thank you sooo much! This video took forever to edit, so it's rewarding that you, who has an eye for editing, likes it, haha. :) Awesome that the deck made it back on your list now. The artwork is truly wonderful - only the small cards and the flimsy cardstock are disappointing, but the book at least has the full-size images! Thank you again for your comments, they're always so lovely. ❤
Thank you thank you thank youuu. Seriously this was so awesome I appreciate this so much 💜 I love this deck I’ve had it for a few years and this heightened my knowledge, I was able to use the book which has a blown up picture of each card which also helped. THANKYOU
I just found your channel thorough this video and I love it! Shadowscapes Tarot is amazing and so profound, your comments are really useful. I just subscribed to your channel
Omg the best video i ever saw of this tarot, i use for like 4 years and it catches me with details that i never noticed till today... i cronsagrated this tarot to hecate, because of the title, shadowscapes what is totaly about the torches of hecate... i just love this tarot and i cant find lots of informations like we get on thoth tarot... =/ how i dream with a majors analise one by one of this tarot T_T is hard to find info in english ... but in portuguese? is worse...
It's great that you want to walk a path of self-exploration! Whether the deck is right for you sort of depends on whether you want to learn more about "traditional" Tarot card meanings and find out the nuances of all 78 cards OR if you just want to dive in and roll with your intuition. The deck is slightly non-traditional - the classical Tarot deck that most people use is the Rider-Waite-Smith system. The Shadowscapes Tarot draws from this system, but creatively goes its own paths, which can be beautiful. The texts and stories are very enriching as well and the author's view of Tarot is empowering to beginners. So while it is not the most traditional deck out there, I think it still has a clear and disctinct world and tone. And if you look at the cards and you feel a connection with this vibe they have, it might just be the right deck for you. :)
Hey there! Pathworking is when you meditate and imagine being inside the world of the card while you're in meditation. Put the card in front of you and with your eyes open or closed, imagine walking in the world of the card and talking to the characters. :) Hope that helps!
Im new to tarot. I have a question: do we have to understand the basic meaning before we use this deck (or any other deck) or we can interprete it in our own way, based on what we saw?
Thank you for your question! I think reading intuitively is definitely a good starting point - personally, I use Tarot to communicate with my subconscious and that is definitely an intuitive activity. However, I think it makes the experience much deeper if you know at least a little bit about the traditional meanings of the cards. So a combination of both is the best - but if you feel called to read intuitively at first, go ahead. :)
That depends on how you view Tarot. I see it as a tool to communicate with my subconscious mind and awaken my intuition to explore my psyche. Some people use it for divination (actually seeing the future and saying what will happen and when it will happen). And some say in order to do that, you have to be psychic. Since I do not believe out future is set in stone, I don't have to be psychic to read Tarot. I want to explore the possibilities I have and dive into my psyche, not know my future. I hope that helps!
I lost my comment on a video. I've always been interested in wicca. or witchcraft after an old friend introduced me to her lifestyle. is this something only women do? and if a guy were to do it is he considered a witch?... excuse my lack of knowledge but I ask because I am far from religious and nature has always been what I considered god. I just never called myself anything.
Witchcraft is open to all genders in my opinion - of course there are those who say it is a female practice at core, based on the marginalization and suppression of women in times past. However, I think we're past that point and it's a great, conscious practice for anyone. It's a practice with many facets! Some focus on healing with herbal remedies, some focus on meditation and astral travel, many cast spells and conduct rituals to set intentions and bring about a desired result. Working with the moon phases and planet positions is also very common. And a lot of pagan witches also revere nature and work with the spirits and entities in it. There is such a far range of practices and "witch" is really just an umbrella term. So it's impossible to say what is "required" to be a witch essentially. :) Witchcraft is a practice and Wicca is a religion/belief system that is quite open in what its followers believe, but generally it relates to nature, ritual and honoring deities - though none of these are necessarily required, depending on what kind of Wiccan you are. :) Hope that helped! Good luck on your path.
