I’m a OTR truck driver and big time foodie and I’ve had the breakfast and dinner buffet at this establishment and it’s absolutely fantastic and worth it.
OMG, I would pass out here because there are so many wonderful choices! I would just eat everything and go to a hospital afterward. LOL It is worth every penny from how fresh it looks. I rarely get to breakfast buffets and this one looks so great! I will say about the turkey products - while they are lower in some things, they are very high in sodium. It is so weird because you'd think it would be less. It tastes good enough (sometimes a little milder and drier than regular pork or such), but it isn't really all that much healthier. So just enjoy! hehe
Wow so many delicious choices. I enjoy pancakes and many choices I like the way they cut the donuts and gives you more choices getting then in half. John your one with all the cream was so yummy looking. I have watched all your visits there. What choices on each one. Definitely on our fall list. Best wishes.
Great video! Love the do’s & don’ts of maneuvering a smorgasbord 😁 we went to shady maple a few years ago, my husband’s reaction to the downstairs shop area was priceless! Wish I could have gotten that on video😂!
I have taken several bus trips to see Sight and Sound shows; and, we always came to Shady Marple to eat lunch before the show. It is a truly amazing buffet. For the seemingly endless number of offerings they have, the quality of the food is extraordinary.
They have a wide variety of choices. But I like the pancake an omelet station the best. The fruit was delicious and the Donuts were so fresh. Thanks for watching😎😎
“Smørrebrød” is how we spell it here in Denmark and it is actually a slice of “Rugbrød” ( witch is a dark brown and “rough” bread ) at the bottom, then butter ( Denmark has the best butter in the world “Lurpark” ) and now you add some kind of toppings like a slice of ham or slices of a boiled egg with shrimps on it plus some mayo and seasoning - and if you like it you Can always put som lettuce on it before the toppings😋👍 it taste sooo good and we always eat it at our “Påske-frokost” ( Easter-lunch ) here in Denmark which is a celebration of Easter and to the “smørrebrød” we always drink and cheer in a glass of “Snaps” ( very, very strong alcohol) but that’s a hole other story😉

Hi guys. Just found your channel and I am loving it. You guys seem so fun. Have you ever visited Good & Plenty family style restaurant? I went there the first time on a school senior trip with my fifth grade son and oh my goodness that was many years ago and still the best fried chicken I ever ate. They serve the food family style. I’ve gone back several times since then but I now live in Florida so it’s just a memory. I would love to see you guys there filming. There wasn’t anything that they served that tasted bad. I love your channel and I will continue to follow you because I think you are so great

me again… i have often taken the serving spoon, tongs or spatula and cut a filet of fish or whatever, to a smaller size. its ok to do that. also, i have learned that all the meats are good, fats dont get absorbed, but its the carbs that get absorbed and turned to fat. i only learned that as my hubby and i both found out we are pre diabetic (thx to me asking for that particular test called the a1c (its a 3 month average sugar test vs the one day sugar test) and so, spiking insulin with carbs and sugars is not good, so eat all the meat, fats you want but go easy or cut out the carbs for a bit and you will see a change. i cant wait to try this place for dinner soon.

Motley Crue and Ratt are my two favorite bands. I have a huge collection of Ratt stage used clothes from Stephen Pearcy. Wear Stephen's hats and shirts sometimes but people don't know there his. If you watch our Margaritaville Margarita video that hat is on Stephen's Stripped CD Cover and is on his head in the DVD Concert. Motley I have been seeing live since 1982. Still go and watch them and listen to them. Would have loved to have went backstage with you. Rock on my friend.😎😎
My husband and I went there to have lunch today. It was very good, biggest I have ever seen for sure. I would have loved to have tried the breakfast buffet though, my favorite meal of the day. Thank you for the tour guys, God Bless!
I grew up on fried mush as well , my mother would make it the night before and fry it up in the morning. I love Shady Maples but I have never been for breakfast. I am a new subscriber. Love your channel.

I love the Shady Maple Sign and the Train Village was incredible. I would love to see the Gift Shop. And the Elvis Coasters and Ice-cube trays ,"can't go wrong". My Sister from Memphis is Walking the Camino in Spain, in a window "Jail House Elvis". No matter where you go Elvis is in the House. It is amazing to see the workers work their trade on those lines. It is the marvel a seasoned COOK. I just call them Chefs because they have mastered their trade. Try flipping an omelete or pancake for a few hours. I would cry. Seems like the good ol Smorgasbord has taken a hit. But this was so well runned. Clean. Thanks for taking us along. Gotta wear sweatpants to eat there

Yum. Breakfast is my favorite meal. I love chocolate chips cooked into the pancake, not on the side. That's cheating! Glad to see they do it the right way. Loved your Elvis souvenirs, too!

Breakfast is the best meal at Shady Maple for your dining dollars. Drinks are included. Before covid kicked in I used to go once a week, on a weekday, and made sure I was there when they opened.. I always found the busses started arriving @ 7AM and the place turned into a zoo. Haven't been there in a few months for dinner. Always a good selection and they have clear birch beer. Stay away from the cappuccino machine as it's QUITE addictive. Some folks say the quality of the food has gone down down but I haven't found any issues. They have a nice website so you can check out the dinner selections as prices change based on the featured items. While there, stop by their grocery store for some baked goods or jellies to take home. Good's store is across the parking lot if you'd like to check out a charming little department store.
I remember when i was a young girl my dad would fix me and him mush before we went hunting...I've always liked it and it brought back that memory after watching your video...everything looked delicious at that buffet...that was one heck of an omelet John...keep rockin guys..🎸🎸🎶🎶

Eat there all the time for breakfast love it there.took your advice and tried stoltzfus meats and ate at Amos there your right that was some of the best broasted chicken I ever ate so moist thanks for the tip never tried that place all these years living in Lancaster county
i almost went there for my bday, a couple weeks ago, as i heard about it on youtube, not tried it yet, but i will some day… instead, we went to the mgm grand hotel and casino just next to DC. was fun but now i have to find a reason to go to pa and try this place even though its NOT my bday, lol

Shady Maple is a great place, and I often go for breakfast when I'm in the area. I like how you went to the desert section first. I do the same!! Their donuts are amazing, as is their shoo fly pie and crumb cake.

I was there two weeks ago but I missed breakfast. I felt in love with their sugar free desserts. You cannot tell the cream cheese pies apart. I wanted to buy one but they said they didn't do that
The old people love the all-you-can-stuff-in breakfasts. Commonly known as the geriatric breakfast. There usually the only ones up at that hour in order to tax their gluttony for the cheapest price possible. Standard fare here. There’s no way I could eat $17 worth of breakfast food.
