I think you are referring to the way that Fusion represents the forces...they are applied to the targets I chose, not the center of the shaft. fusion does not do a good job of representing that in the graphical interface.
You are most certainly correct. I hope I did not say otherwise...I was trying to warn my students to do comparisons only in well-behaved regions, and to stay away from locations of load application and where they impose constraints that are over-simplifications of the real constrain.
