A few years back when I served in jury duty, the defendant's lawyer asked if any of us heard the song "It wasn't me" by Shaggy. When the defendant was proclaimed not guilty, they both got up and sang. It was magnificant.
If I remember correctly, this was big in early 2001... what a great time to be a kid. Early 2000's hip hop/R&B was still good. I remember this song being popular at school, followed by "What Would You Do?" by City High. Good times.

For me the funny thing about this song is that it actually describes an old friend I knew a decade ago who used to love it. He was a big and brolic Nigerian dude who used to be quite the chad. He actually cheated on his gf with a dozen other girls and was caught by her in the end. Him and some other girl he liked were actually having "fun" in her bathroom, and he got caught afterwards because of messages they had together. He wanted me to lie to his GF that it wasn't really him in the chats but me (his username wasn't visible).

ok so everyone literally listens to this song in my grade and they ars always singing it around as girls trying to flirt with us but it is really annoying when they sang it to us... the boys at my school are the weirdest at flirting😂😑 but the song is pretty catchy when it isn't them singing it
I used to listen to this song with my cousin (bad influence) and I never paid attention. Long story short, I played it around my mom (strict) and she said, and I quote, “where the hell did you hear this song!?” As I danced and said “it wasn’t me”.
