Everyone keeps saying his voice sounds different, but inside a studio, you can whisper inside the micophone and it will be just fine. Live, the thing changes, you cannot keep the same low tone voice. Respect for SHAHMEN!

Yeah microphones can only do so much for you live you still have to project. Maybe not the best song for live shows but still doesn’t even sound too bad

You can't have deep voice while shouting. The recordings are made in a studio where he is calm and collected while there on the stage he can't just stand still and sing, it will be boring. Get it now?

@@mongo9144 this dark grimy tone and lyrics correspond with some aspects of Russian reality. Many themes he describes are quite deep and philosophical. Such themes are also present in Russian literature which is heavily reflexive and psychological, pretty often quite depressive and fatalistic. Many Russian rappers also follow that route of dark hopeless lyrics and sound, like Brick Bazuka, early works of Rem Digga and Smoky MO.

No, he doesn't use auto-tune. It's normal that somebody's voice is different live than on a video? First is performance, different microphones, amplifiers etc. The second one, is he possibly uses an echo amplifier? Which makes your microphone concentrate the audio on only one position, thus either making it seem darker, louder, lighter or quieter.
