methods of Singing the Shahnameh is the rich culture of Zagros. Kourosh Asadpour is a 58-year-old man born in the village of Sheshbehar in Lordegan district of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province. He was born into a family that had a passion for reading the Shahnameh, singing and good music, and this is one of the reasons why Kourosh was drawn to local music and reciting the Shahnameh and passing it down from his father to his sons
He studied academic music under the supervision of Shahzidi, and then in 1993, he was corrected musically by Mohammad Reza Shajarian. He has produced 16 official albums with the collaboration of great masters.
Kourosh Asadpour has performed live concerts in over 16 countries. Among his awards, he has won the first prize for reciting Shahnameh in the European Parliament, the UNESCO World Prize for his activities in preserving the poems of Hakeem Nizami, a golden man statue at the 14th Music House Festival.
