Am very happy for janaki bodiwala, i am a gujarati and i have followed her filmography from the very beginning. She is a very talented actress, and i pray she gets more roles in big movies that compliments her capabilities.
Movie is good... But ending of Original Movie is way better and Dark compared to Bollywood version.... Madhavan is too good... But Gujarati actor Hiten Sir nailed it in original.

Shan bhai U/A lene ka reason yeh bhi hai ki Ajay Devgan ki movies are family going too. Drishyam was watched by family in droves jabki the content wasn't family wala, murder and all. Animal A leke chalna is an exception. Shaitan will blow up with audience
Drishyam mein Gore ya violence nahi tha onscreen itna par iss movie mein Gore aur violence dikh raha hai toh family friendly kaise huyi unless bollywood walo ne vash ke remake ko poora light hearted bana diya ho
its high time bollywood realises that indians love to watch horror adult movies it would have been such a great film if they could add more gore bloodshed or even nudity . idk whats their obsession in making a family movie no one even goes with their parents anymore and if they do its just a film just watch it and move on
With all politeness, I don't think that generalising the term "Indians" would be appropriate. Yes I love horror genre, but a lot of audience might not like or comprehend gore, bloodshed or nudity. The system and capacity differs from psychological perspective. Good story lines, great acting and more natural direction will be more welcomed by all, in my opinion. And yes, this movie is so good. The original and remake both marks a stand for itself. Outstanding🎉
I absolutely believe in occult and black magic, have had plenty of direct and indirect experiences in life and I’ll leave it at that. You have me intrigued now about the original film Vash, I hope it isn’t being overhyped. I would also watch Shaitaan just for R.Madhavan as I’ve always been a fan of his since Sea Hawks days 😋😄

Most of the time its just confirmation Bias. Abhi shantanu ne jiska example Diya us bande ne kuch nahi kiya hota aur fir bhi wahi sab chige hoti to koi black magic k baat nahi karta. Aise continues bad incident to kisi k sath bhi ho jate hain. And fir God ka role meri samjh nahi aata. Na usse kharab human beings handle hote, na hi ghost aur black magic handle hota hai. To akhir God karta kya hai. Bas duniya bana k ghumne chale Gaya.

I have watched Vash, and It was more impressive than other Gujarati contemporary movie. It deserves to be distributed on streaming platforms, so the non-Gujarati also can enjoy a well made thriller.
They could have done much more with this movie.. they could have shown more about the cult, included more scary madhavan scenes, could have made madhavan look more scary.. it looked like a generic movie that we just watched n came back home.. they had a great story, needed more depth.. people will root to see madhavan as the devil but it comes in very small parts.. like the interval scene..
Shaam har cheez me zabardasti Kami nikaalna achhi nahi...jyada dark n bloody hoti to hamari thodi minor audience nahi jaa paati, who likes the horror genre of movie. It was a well balanced perfect movie with a good ending 💯
The trailer showed us way too much in my opinion. I was excited for the film.....coz the trailer had such good horror tropes. But fir movie me bhi utne he hai......nothing more than what we have already seen
Saw the movie today. I feel like this film lacks subtlety and nuance. It's still a good hindi horror film in a long time. Just that sometimes it gets too over the top. A good one time watch and a decent Indian horror flick in a long time.
Shaitaan gave away too much in its trailer, because of which I found the movie not that exciting, I was expecting more, overall great performance by all You are pretty honest with your review. Loved it. I had almost the same thoughts after watching the movie.
I think the reason why they went for a U/A certificate was so that they could release in more number of theaters and gain a larger audience and collection. Some theaters (single screen) flat out refuse to screen an A certificate movie.
@@pranjal1537 I think the spread came after it broke out with its popularity. But I have physically seen some single screen theaters refuse to screen A certificate movies unless the distributor is powerful enough or the popularity is sky high.
Poor execution set aside Ajay Devgn has really good eye for topics and movies which he picks for remakes or even originals like Bhuj, Tanhaji, Drishyam, Omkara, Yuva, Ganga Jal, Zameen etc.
They would definitely remove original from OTT and internet for obvious but right reasons. I am sure they would have paid original makes more than what it would have earned on BO. Plus naturally they would tone down the ending because they don’t want your validation but large range of audience.

I watched Vash few days ago....And what a film it was.....dude one of the best horror movie from Gujarati Cinema, specially the climax scene, no jumpscares but it is a really really well made, I was completely intrigued in the movie..... Didn't watched Shaitaan but Vash is really really good
Honeslty i am not very exited about any bollywood movies bcoz of trailers.. they make 2 min plus trailer and show all suspense/ twists in trailer. Theater jane se oehle hi story pata chal jati h. And ye sirf 1 ya 2 movies tak nai raha, almost sabhi same hote h. Will watch it on ott.
Absolutely spot on with the drishyam tonality of ajay devgan. What was needed was a softer character who grows in strength he didn’t think he had just to save his daughter. Even a rohit roy would have better suited the role than ajay. What is the point of keeping shaitaan a prisoner except to maybe explore a part 2. I would have liked some history of vashikaran or black magic. And ofc it’s real and your friend is “lucky” to be alive . The mother and brother did a good job too. I didn’t like ajay in this but madhavan was scary jaoquin Phoenix type perfect
He is right. There are extra lengthy scenes in the movie which were not required. And of course we were waiting for the suspense of what will happen now but nothing. Only a simple story that a father protects his daughter. But i have not seen the MASALA in the movie
movie shuru hote hi thodi boring thi nind si lagne lagi. bad me pace pakadti hai thoda. Thoda aur evil hona chaiye tha Madhavan ka character. There were times I wanted more. Family Fight Sequence acha hai. Per casual breaks bahot hain jo flow tod dete hain movie ka. Deevgan jab apni daughter ko bachata hai wahan thoda aur drama action hona chaiye tha. In the end I came out as Something remained missing in the Film. It is a one time watch and one can watch if they haven't watched the Original Film.
I liked the positive ending of the film. I didn't see Vash but from social media i have come to know that ending of vash was partially positive. I don't think making the it positive has any flaws. Rather it has shown us that, whatever the situation is , there is always a way if we keep calm and react using our brains

I'm Gujarati, there is a thrill in vash which is absent in Shaitaan even Maddy is my favourite actor. But Hiten kumar as Rakshash character in Gujarati gives you that thrill which never happened in Gujarati Film Industry.
Honestly, Madhwan & Janaki were epic... The little kid acted way better than Ajay.. Movie mere liye us sounding rocket thi Jo chillata hua uda lekin upar Jake blast nahi hua. Must watch just for the artists performance... Climax was meh
I had no idea about Vash before watching this video. I watched shaitaan and it was good. The climax give me reminder of drishyam only. It was a decent movie if you watch it for first time and don't compare with Vash. I haven't watched vash so I am pretty impressed with shaitaan but the climax was not that much impactful as it reminds of drishyam only
I remember watching vash and i was feeling uncomfortable everytime the villian appeared. When i saw the trailer of shaitaan i was like why they have over done it
Indian Audience is not ready for Vash kind of ending for a movie. So i understand why they changed the ending. But the movie does break tension multiple times and Ajay Devgn did act like he just walked from Drishyam set. I also thought Maddy was not as good as he usually is in some of the scenes.
Its also a south Indian film remake. I had already watched that movie when I saw this trailer. Original is a masterpiece. So not worth wasting time in watching remakes.
They have done this with many marathi films also. This should be stopped. For sairat why did they caste janhavi kapoor istead of rinku rajguru. She is such a fine marathi actress

If you are talking about gritty movies, I would definitely recommend the Turkish series Siccin. It's creepy as fuck. And the majority of them are related to black magic etc.

Vash is much better if you can watch the original one They have tried to make it a family movie also they gave a happy ending...the original movie is much darker with darker ending..and I dont know why I found some scenes cringy! They made it a sugarcoated family movie...dissapointed 😢
Original Gujarati Vash is much much better as this Bollywood remake adds Yagna and Ahuti like sacred rituals with wrong thing like vashikaran/hypnotization. It sticks to basic wrong usage of Vashikaran/Hypnotization.
I didn't knew movie was U/A rating because i had high hopes to see Gore & dark scenes from this but it's super underwhelming unfortunately I don't know if i should watch it now or not
after seeing the haal of "Vash", one lesson is learned, that never give your movie rights to bollywood, when your movie is legit.... they will make it vanish it... monopoly activated again...

Vash never released on any ott ,the day before release on ott ajay devgan acquire remake rights so vash will never be released on any ott or other platforms And in Vash Hiten Kumaar performance is much much much scarier than R Madhvan not saying maddy’s performance is not good he is outstanding but as I say i already saw vash, so as to compare Vash >>>Shaitaan
