This film kept me in tears for the beauty of this our history and how this film wants to share this with the world 🌎.. great thing this story is being told..
Seeing the Shaka gesture always brings an uplifting feeling. For me, the Shaka has always been synonymous with Hawaii, even before knowing about the history. Learning about the origin now gives a great cultural understanding!
It's crazy cause I was in Poland in 2022, and I was getting the shaka waved at me because I was walking around Warsaw with a Hawaiian shirt in the middle of July. It's gotten that far.
Question: I have been looking for a One Word prayer, and I think I found it in the Word "Aloha", am I wrong about this? I also like to say: "Aloha Paradise" Amo!!! with Thanksgiving, Grazia, Grazia and Grazia. Much Blessings!!!
This project is incredibly special. Mahalo nui for sharing this film and your aloha with the girls at Pearl Haven today. What an inspiring documentary.
Whatever happened to the "thumbs up" and "OK" signs? I supposed these are considered obscene gestures in certain non-American cultures, whereas the "shaka" is totally unique (to Hawaii).
