Love my ATS 30. Great casting reels. You should probably do a video on casting those reels as many people have been soured on them because they tried them before without knowing how to use them and ended up trying to untangle bird's nest instead of fishing.
You cant go wrong with an ats. Personally i like the ats30 because of the power handle but i baught it 3years ago as a disposable reel. It has held up very well. Pulls in bull reds with ease.
Hey man, glad to hear they worked out for you. I just bought 2 and combined them with a medium heavy berkly big game. Mainly going to use on salt water but we'll see how they turn out.
Thanks for the video! I'm on a very tight budget and I'm wanting to get a bigger setup. I usually only fish for channel cats using a spinning reel. I'm wanting to go after some big flat heads. I think this is the reel I'll get. You should add a link to where we can purchase this setup and you can make a little money from it.
i’ve had so many problems with mine when you throw it clicks real fast but the button is off for the clicking to work it does it some times and sometimes not

i still wanna get a ats 15 but now i cant find them anywhere,thats how it always goes lol,does the ats 15 make the clicking noise like the ats 20 does whenever your just reeling?
For the money those reels are hard to beat. My 8 year old uses one on a 7ft rod when we catfish. He’s hung some pretty decent fish on it and the reel performs flawlessly.

It seems like is heavy duty , I’m just waiting on my surf rod to come in where I fish I need a longer cast. Can you please post how you line these bad boys.? Fishing With JBT yea I watched that one as well he has it on a rod that I have my close face reels on, I’m planning to put this 30 on a 12 surf rod. Here in Texoma fishing on the bank is necessary because we have very shallow waters around the banks. Thanx again bro I’ll be looking out for it.
Bought this at Walmart when i started fishing for Flathead Catfish. This reel, manhandled a 33-pound Flathead with ease. It feels powerful. If you want a good entry level reel for big fish, this is a good buy.

Thanks for the video, I want to get into fishing with convetional reels but they are pretty pricey. I like to fish the surf a I see a lot of video w/ convetional reel casting 100 yrd plus. In your experience, will this reels be able to cast that far? Also I have been looking for the ats 15 and 20 but without the counters. I can not find them, do they still make them. 🤔 I got my self a ats30 since I couldn't find the 15 or 20 without the counter is going to take me some time to learn to cast but I'm up for the challenge. If this is your first baitcast reel type in on RU-vid "how to cast a baitcaster" there will be lots of info and tutorials and tips on how to adjust the setting and get it to where you can cast it without backlash and no other problems👍
