@Terry Miles : i like your pub quests and playing an organ in a Church on your way. To top this, you should try to get permission to play on one of the few theater organs there in UK. I imagine you, raising up from underground at the Blackpool Ballroom organ playing Boogie Woogie. To verify, what i mean, here a YT-link: Phil Kelsall - Live at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Greetings from Germany
🎼🎵🎹🎹🎹 I`m impressed, Terry 👍👍 ! As so often, and as each time, when you are on "pub-tour" in the UK. UK-people, please be proud on this pub culture !!! And also be proud, having Terry Miles !!!
Good work Terry - no money lost on the nags, and free food & drink too. What's not to like about that? Good to see Chris R there as well. Safe travels. Like & share please folks!
Terry should be getting paid for all the videos from the UK board or department of tourism. You do such a wonderful job of showing all of us around the world the beautiful places with rich History in the UK. Thank you its always a pleasure too see
Писать буду, как посмотрю. Посмотрел. Терри вновь меня порадовал. Его несомненная заслуга в том, что он показывает всему миру исторические места Британии. При этом доставляет огромное удовольствие слушателям его исполнительского таланта. I will write as I see it. I looked at it. Terry made me happy again. His undoubted merit is that he shows the historical sites of Britain to the whole world. At the same time, it gives great pleasure to the listeners of his performing talent.
Wonderful place and really beautifully scenery,,Terry. Fantastic🌳🌳🌲🌲🌲🍃🍃💐🌅💕🏛Good sounds this piano,,yeah🎹🎶🎶👍😄and i love this first one,,,💕😄🍮. Thank you this fantastic Chonsert Terry. Say hello you familie. Byee,,👋🎼🎼🌅🍮👍
@Terry Miles.....i watched a video a few weeks ago where locals in Suffolk got together and bought their local pub as it was closing...it's now a fantastic community pub....The White Horse in Thelnethem , Diss...IP22 1JN.... Opening hours are a bit random but think weekends would be good...they do have live music too...i'm sure you can figure something...the people have done a great job with the pub...i'm sure you could give their piano a great big YAAYYY ! x
Love your pub quests, Terry! Caught a glimpse of the piano internals. Being an older style, straight strung and overdamped definitely gives it the older traditional honky tonk pub sound! I, too, give this piano a whopping big YAY!!!! 😅😂😂🤣
Delightful 'Recovery' from a day-at-the-Races to an Unplanned Pub Quest,,, 🍻Enthusiastic 'Dirty Duck' patrons🦆, Fab piano tunes & Stunning glimpses of ☘💚gardens, Swans & Blooming trees👍🌞
That was Great! After performing at the theatre, I can picture Laurence Olivier, Ralph Richardson, Derek Jacobi, etc. raising a pint at The Dirty Duck. They would love Terry’s playing. Keep the Pub Videos coming Old Man!🎹🎹🥃🥃😃😃
A lovely trip, Terry! Thank you so much for that and the beautiful music! Wherever you are, your piano music is the best that we can enjoy and cherish. Have a blessed weekend, Terry, Eileen, Elsie and Kitzy!💞💗💞💗
Thank you Vivian. It’s so wonderful to hear from you. I’ll be live-streaming this coming Tuesday, 16th of April. I hope you can join us. All the Boogie Best. Terry, Eileen, Elsie and old Kitzy Cat 🙏🎹❤️🤠
Excellent footage of the Dirty Duck Pub with tremendous upright piano playing featured by the great inspirational pianist of our day and age Terry Miles.
Glad you enjoyed it. Many thanks and greetings to you from here in Hackney, London. All the boogie best and thank you for watching. All the boogie best. Terry Miles 🙏🤠
Was there at Dirty Duck in 1999 on a trip to England from the US. Great place. I also bought a can of coke from a street cart and was drinking it from the can when 2 elderly ladies call me a heathen for drinking from the can. The guy at the cart offered me a cup and a straw and I told him no thank you I’ll just drink it from the can. He gave me a funny look I guess that makes me a heathen. Lol😂
Terry .... Could have played the theme from the "Hamlet" advert lol....been in the DD a few times being just down the way in the south of the county of Warwickshire
Wow! It was amazing, good for you and you new content, thank you very much. Greetings from a Mexican person living in Japan! By the way, the camera person is getting more professional..! The camera doesn’t tillt much..! Awesome…!
Greetings to you in Japan 🇯🇵 Thank you for watching my RU-vid Videos. Thank you for your kind words. I was in Japan in the summer of 2022. All the Boogie Best. Terry Miles 🙏❤️🎹🤠
Terry can you go to the Millers of Mansfield Pub in Goring on Thames. Its was George Michael's local and there is a Large tribute of him around the Piano....!!!!!!!
Great job! Terry, you have such a good way with people!! Wish I could visit these Pubs🇺🇸 I was in England in 1966 on a motorcycle i bought in Dublin. Stayed the nites above Pubs for bed and breakfast. All good times. Dennis
I like the sound of that piano alot! Also i abolutely love the boogie woogie style that you played in this video! Also that piano seems to be birdcage action +Straight strung that i like very much
Hi terry! So great!!!! You should come to Montreal Canada. Every summer, we have about 20 street pianos scattered around the town AND 2 GRAND PIANOS Yamaha concert pianos at the Montreal airport are waiting for you!!! Hope you come soon! Let me now then If you don't mind, I would like to play with you and learn from you... I play some boogie and blues Best regards from Canada Didier
I played a properly tuned steinway or yamaha grand piano precisely once in my lifetime. What an amazing instrument...so expensive yet so epic. I felt like I was playing a stradivarius violin. (My bad, I do not actually remember if it was a steinway or yamaha).
Great piano playing and lovely pub too although the name of the song at the end slips my mind, I remember as a young boy practicing it on my Casio keyboard 😅🎹
It is "Spanish Flea" first recorded by Herb Alpert and written by his percussionist Julious Wechner. The song is perhaps most famous for being used as the theme song of the TV show "The Dating Game."
I am not sure the claim that the Black Swan is the only pub in England licensed under 2 names. Here in Leeds there is Whitelock's which is actually called The Turk's Head, and has a license as Whitelock's, and another half as The Turk's Head. Peter O'Toole knew both, because he was a Leeds lad, and Poet Laureate John Betjeman always paid a visit when ~up North~ The Turk's Head, dates from 1715, and is listed in numerous books on Great Bars of the World.
Enjoyable as always Terry, and thanks for the history / geography lesson. And hello to Eileen, Elsie, Chris R. and all. I'm not sure how long you played but wondering if anyone asked for ABBA which is always a crowd pleaser? 🎹 👍 👋 🦆
If you take requests, can you play a medley in any style regarding Sir Aphex Twin? I know u can...and tbh I very much want to hear that lol. If lazy, just do avril14th... Richard D. James is a knight lol, with or without the pomp and circumstance. I ain't gonna insult your royals...yet as an American...I am allowed to knight your peoples lol.
Great to hear from you. I didn't realise that you were close to The Dirty Duck in Stratford. Would be good to meet up again one of the days. All the boogie best. Terry 🤠
