That statue’s artist (Eric Gill) had darker reason for creating such a work for the BBC. As you said 11 minutes in: “the use of broadcasting even as an art to influence culture being exemplified in this statue”
The Oxfordians trace this play and other Italian origins of Shakespeare plays to Edward DeVere. I personally think they are correct. I merely mention it. A fascinating theory with merit.
@@LitProfYes it is Sir. If true, Shakespeare scholars have been making up facts for decades. At this point, that wouldn’t surprise me in the least. But the text is still there and great, and that’s what matters. Mostly.
