He is just so hot. It's insane that a man can be so incredibly sexy without even trying.. and you see interviews when he's not acting when he comes across so shy and quite unsure. Brilliant actor, and great bloke for keeping his private life exactly that. Private. He must (and still) have had women and men flocking to him. And it's never once been in a trashy celeb mag, and no one actually knows a thing about his relationships. Good for him.
My one true love playing my other true love. I must own this on DVD. Tim Curry playing William Shakespeare is a dream come true ❤️❤️❤️ and when he is angry •swoon•
Tim has never suffered a lack of talents. He has them, then AND now, I’m abundance. For years I knew him for one layer - RHPS. But I have been walking the halls of RU-vid and have seen Tim in a carnival of talents, each better than the last! Tim, thank you for sharing with me (us) the many, many layers you are. What a grand career, my friend. Be well! ❤️
On Broadway, and brilliant he was. Simon Callow was the original Mozart in London. He was also in the film as Shikanader. Tom Hulce was great as Mozart but I sort of wish Tim Curry had been given the chance to do the part on screen.
I would pay every cent I have to see that footage. Amadeus was one of the first movies I fell in love with and when I finally saw it on stage, I was literally speechless for a good 20 minutes after the curtain came down. I couldn't find the right words to express how incredible and beautiful and heartbreaking it was. I still can't. As perfect as Hulce was, I'd kill to see what Curry did with the role.
Man oh man…and, curiously, Rowan Atkinson in black leather and goatee as Elizabethan Blackadder. I was truly sorrowing when he was no more…and it was a long time before we had reruns I could tape on VHS - a happy miracle!
Impressive! (Of course, mostly everything he does is.) I'm constantly amazed by the guy -- even when it's by something he's done years ago that I haven't seen before! He has always been extraordinary -- It's just too bad his music career never "took off." Some of the songs he sang should be (and are, to me) classics.
The reason why this is his one of his best performances aside from Rocky is because he's basically playing Frank throughout just with no make-up, a beard and an earring. I mean watch his facial expressions, listen to the way he talks, every mannerism is the same as Frank n Furter....and its GENIUS
I remmbr watchng this bak in 1978, an ITV production, A&E ddnt evn xist bak in tha 70s, A&E was creatd founded in 1984, WiL Shakespear his Life and times, mayb prhaps not bst Britsh tv drama, but compared to tha crap made today these days, most tv shows produced in tha 70s r mastr piecs art works
Oh my God, is that Nicholas Clay in bed with a hair extension? It's clear the two actors are into each other, rather than the chick spitting out her lines and stalking out.
Wonder if this can be purchased now on Amazon or EBay? Such an excellent series. They wouldn't allow it in the states back in the 70s because it was "too violent". ???
Is it just me, or at 1:30 till at the very end of this video, did he just slipped into Frank mode? Anyways, this is great by the way, wish i had a dvd of this....
Is it me or do you expect them to burst into song at every minute.... completely overacting, but Frank `N`Furter does look the part indeed!! ;-D The dvd is available everywhere folks!
