Taking a break from my routine is always a thrill. In this video I share a ride that I did with Sunset riders. Even though the route was familiar, it was my first time riding with this group.

For anyone wondering: The reason you go north only is because A) Northbound puts you on the beach side with no intersecting traffic and B) the headwinds coming south are brutal.

Used to this route every Sunday. now only occassionally with a group only. my biggest fear was when two peletons passed each other North/South and a vehicle was overtaking one of the groups they had to squeeze in there between two groups . It made for scary situations. but, scenic rides for sure

Beautiful location. Cannot believe how flat it is there. Living in the Pacific and Highway 1 it's like the polar opposite. Monster climb after monster climb out here.

The funny thing about this route is that there are some false flats that you don't even notice until your heart rate is climbing... but nothing like real hills.

I found myself mesmerized by that last bit along the water. Very relaxing, and interesting scenery. I could tell from the bare sides of the palm trees that you were going the right direction🙂.

Another awesome video highlighting the awesome routes we have in South Florida. The commentary and editing on the music is on point and makes it a pleasure to watch the video. I just want to say, it was a good call to ride ahead, that chase group was going cracy.

Nice ride Luis, those roads down there look super smooth, here in Pa, the road conditions are atrocious & not really enjoyable to ride , you guys are very lucky, stay safe Out there!

You ever do gravel rides? The levee up there is smoother than Markham/Atlantic plus it's paved from the end of Loxahatchee Rd to the turn north by the high school in West Boca.

Definitely great areas for gravel. You can get on in a little park at the end of Atlantic or Loxahatchee entrance. I myself am eyeing gravel bikes since this is just a mile from my house

It looks nice to ride there. But I think personally I´d be bored quite fast. I am from the West of Norway and currently living in Rome, Italy where I have lots of hills and mountains nearby and had the same in Norway. So that´s what I am used to and what I like. But would be nice to have those wide roads you have though. We don´t have that many of it here. Nice video as usual.

Great story telling in this video. Great mix of commentary, music, and ambient riding sounds. I'd be interested in seeing how people deal with mechanical issues (quickly/efficiently) during group rides like this. Including some of the food options in the video might also be nice.

Hi Luis. Nice ride. At the end you all got on a train - how many bikes was that? In Sydney, if we tried to get more than 2 bikes on a train, our nanny state would have a melt down and probably throw us all off... We'd probably all be fined $400 as well.

That's an aggressive nanny state Tim. We were about 20ish... but we spread out on different cars that have spaces for bikes and luggage.

I have a question? I am a commuter bicyclist and I don't Know how you guys do an average 22m/h, my average on a good day 13m/h. I don't have fancy bikes and i may be slow , but not that much. I hope you go get a Walmart or a garage sale bike and see that is your average speed.

Interesting but after 18+ years I transitioned to mountain biking. Road cycling is “Way too dangerous” and honestly mountain biking has way better views 😊

I agree with you Juan, for me I’ve always been a mtn , road & gravel cyclist but here in Pa it’s so dangerous on the roads, I’ve had so many close calls that I’m lucky I’ve never been hit so a few yrs ago I decided to ride my road bike only on closed paved paths, for me road riding is just not worth the risk anymore & I love my road bikes. Stay safe out there!

These people look ridiculous. they're all probably office workers, you know , the same ones that get all geared up to cut and trim the lawn. When I'm on my mountain bike riding to the lake and run into these wannabe's all dressed up in their getups I yell out " Tour de France, Tour de France you're pathetic.
