Shakira's world tours are mainly in stadiums because regular venues sell out fast. In fact she often does two dates per city because she is THAT huge for many countries. In my opinion, ever since the world cup in 2006, she became more globally successful. However the Tour of the Mongoose was before that and the venue was still huge, which to me means that she was already globally huge, it just speaks about her success. The spanish version of the song already existed and its a really popular salsa song from DLG. I would like to see the react to La Bicicleta, Si Te Vas, Rules and her cover of Back in Black, the last three of the Live and Off Records. Those are amazing songs and performaces.

Hi, I´m colombian. Just to give you a different view of Shakira. You know she was very popular in COlombia and LATAM before go to USA and become internationally recognized. Well....She was different, basically a different kind of music, closer to this kind of song, author´s songs mixing rock-pop, jazz, reggue and caibeean rythms. After this stage Shakira transform her self, now is blonde, she dances a lot and ...is a completely different product, not bad I think and I would say most people in Latam think the same. Yes , maybe is the biggest colombian star in the world, but currently is more focused in show something that is not so interesting for colombians. I mean dancing is not rare here even in Shakira level. Anyway Shakira is great.

What you say is so true, Shakira is one of those few artists that translates her own songs to another language so more people can understand what she sings and she def are in love with her art.
