I've surprisingly never seen an interview with her before. She's more intelligent and spiritual than I thought. She's also well read, articulate, and personable.
I know some have made negative comments about what you said concerning being surprised at how intelligent she is. However, I don't find anything wrong with your statement. Brilliant people usually do surprise people. I was surprised to learn she speaks 6 languages. I'm sure she surprises people all the time.
"I think that a woman's soul is like a diamond, it has many facets... so you can't judge a woman just for one facet, we're not uni dimensional. I mean, we can wear short skirts but we knoW what we're talking about!" BEST REFLECTION EVER
A role model for over sexualizing her body and selling by playing with lust and desire ? Nope I don't think that's a good role model for kids to copy. Then they end up looking and dancing this way and getting reactions that they didn't hope for. But she definitely is a smart and beautiful business woman and with more to her than her music and far more interesting than other sex/desire phantasy creating by selling pop music artists
@@bevespinosa4728 But he is not a hater. He didn't show hate towards her. In fact, he admitted that she is really beautiful and smart. So maybe you're the "loser" lmao
@@yuh6132 have you read my commen well? Im replying to Gecko Lia's comment aboit shakora:s sezuallizing heraelf and not to the original comment of chocolito.
When explained the meaning behind the term "She Wolf", it really resonated. She's so articulate and intelligent and can depict that intelligence in 7 different languages, fluently.
@@lucialu833 Right! I never understood why so many ppl think that Shakira is fluent in like 6 or 7 languages. Even herself says she speaks 3 languages.
No one can deny that this woman is a legend! Breaking boundaries. Inspiring people. Showing how beautiful diversity can be. Just listening to her can make everyone amazed of what we humans are capable of.
This is why she is an icon. Smart, beautiful and kind woman. We love her here in Colombia and feel so well represented by her. Negative things get more attention unfortunately but most Colombians are hard working, intelligent and cool people. Thanks for giving her a chance.
Years ago Shakira made a very generous donation for the people that lost their house because a powerful earthquake in Ica, Peru. They are grateful for that gesture that talks a lot from her.
I've largely known Shakira thanks to her links with football. This is perhaps the first interview I've seen her do and boy did she surprise me!!! She's so switched on, intelligent, generous, caring, beautiful, and talented. Above all a great human being. She did wow me!!!
She truly gives me hope in man kind. So grateful you are here Shakira. God bless your soul, thank you for all that you are inspiring. God lives through you and its very obvious
I am pretty sure this norwegian guy underestimated Shakira. But Shakira put him in her pocket with her charm, elegance and intelligence 💪👏 Toma muchacho!!
What a brilliant things she does for people in Colombia,I love the fact she feels that sense of duty and a right as she says. When we are in a position to make a difference we should all do so and the world might be a very different place.
Since then, Shakira knew that a woman is like a diamond for the many facets that a woman can have. She’s been always very articulate, smart and eloquent when speaking and that besides her incredible talent as an artist makes her the best Latin singer in the world.
@@amanprasadkushwaha It's a comment on feminism and sexism; women can wear whatever they like, and it's not just because they want to look sexy for men or anyone but themselves.
Aman Kushwaha - what is there to elaborate on? You can wear a short skirt, but know what you're talking about means you can be sexy and still be smart.
I mean I'm running out of words..she's damn beautiful smart stylish elegant and the adjective goes on and on❤️what a woman!!And she does not even age..
I totally loved Shakira and still do, ever since I discovered her in early 2001. She's really a natural beauty, a natural and extremely talented dancer and singer. I love her voice. Of course she is so beautiful and sexy as she possibly could be, but she's also very friendly, humble and to me she seem extremely smart as well. A very likable girl. I'd always loved her, always will.
I agree, she has all those good qualities. She is herself, never tries to be more than herself, and proud of herself in a good, mature way. I really love her. She's the best.
He's not passing judgement. He's asking how she combines all her different roles. He is always interested in how people view themselves and their lives.
I don’t think she’s a feminist cuz she talks about society in general, not just about how women should or shouldn’t be treated by society. She’s proud of being a woman and tries, successfully, to be a role model for ALL, not just women.
@@andreavalenzuela290 Do you even know what a Feminist is? A feminist is a person who believed that women should be treated equal to men. I'm 100% sure she agrees with this idea which makes her a Feminist.
@@seeyouagain911 Yeah... and men treated equal to women. Yo know there are things that society also expects from a man, which are outdated . I love feminism... anyways, there are some who misrepresent it.
Ivy King - If you think that's a good interviewer (host), you have problems in Holland! He kept wanting to talk about the cage, while Shakira was trying to connect at a deeper level. It just flew over his head!
she is a STRAIGHT UP BOSS lol she said what happened in the cage isnt her fault lol i love her accent lol she makes me want to release my she wolf lol THANKS SHAKIRA 😹😹😹😹😛😍u workin that hair
His statements on South America were so ignorant, she looked very upset. Not saying its not all true, but its more than that. He also didnt expect her to smart
He said this is what many Scandinavian people think when they think about South America, which is probably true as many people are ignorant. It does not mean he himself only thinks about those things in connection with South America. He is giving her the opportunity to say how she sees it - to put the record straight for those who know little.
Shakira is very pretty. I remember my daughter saying look its mommy lol when we saw her videos on Mtv back in early 2000s.🤣 She thought I was Shakira. I was like no baby it's not me . 🤣 I was in my 20s back then . She is beautiful.
She's so articulate in all her answers while he keeps going back to "the cage" wether the one on the video or the imaginary idea he has of her, illustrates perfectly what she was trying to say in the song. I know this is old but many people in europe think of their culture as better than the one in latin-america because they think they eradicated femicide and have human rights in their countries while at the same time still being misogynistic and racist against these same people.
He was LITERALLY LISTENING TO HER, with rapt attention, and you DTILL find a way to find something negative?? He's a JOURNALIST, who's interviewed everyone from top politicians, actors, and trump's mistress. He went in with a particular angle and just because YOU don't comprehend why, does not make him incompetent!
HelMaschine They never said he was incompetent, but rather that him going back to the idea of the cage is one of many examples of internalized sexism and the objectification of women.
THIS comment! All I wanted to say. So many microaggressions, based on sexist xenophobic preconceptions coming from that guy's mouth. Singling out the other woman at one point as well.
@@qwertyuiopqwertyuiop-bb4mi Whhooo, poooor women are so weak they can't take it if someone mentions a cage that is part of her music video... I am so damned tired of this victimization of women, like they are made of porcelain! Grow up and face reality!
I don't see why people are bashing the host I think they were all pretty impressed with how smart she is. They didn't expect her to be this smart so he kept pushing the questions just to hear her brain work.
@J. C. He tries to be funny, with all this cage and movement talk. But it just gets very wrong and awkward in english. The other lady is a bit nervous, not jealous. I think people should have to be a little kind and not always talk down white people. Scandinavian can often be socially awkward and reserved to strangers, that does not mean we are cold. We love Shakira and we are not shocked or hung up on how she moves, many of us in Scandinavia grew up with Shakira's music and dancing and just admires her. I agree that it was a bit unpleasant interview to watch, and I'm not the biggerst fan of this host. He is often a little embarrassed to listen to in english. But he doesnt mean anything wrong with it. And it's understandable they're a little nervous about sitting next to such a big star as Shakira.
He was brutally honest, I think it's good because it elicits an equally honest response. Clearly he wasn't expecting someone so well read and sharp as Shakira.
