@@hwoo.lee I am a novice and not confident in ze kitchen so I haven’t tried yet but this is actually one of the simplest dishes I’ve seen you do so I’m gonna try it soon! 🤓🤞🏻💪🏻
Shakashuka is actually pretty easy to make. This one is more time consuming than some others but I think it has some amazing worthwhile components. It’s a pretty forgiving dish because you can customize it and add or remove things and build what you like with minimum effort.

Dude I’ve been binge watching all your content and all this happened because I wanted to make some shakshuka and the one you made looks so good man Love your content
Ive only been to LA a couple times but try to make a point to go to Bavel when I am there. One of the best meals of my life and I am so glad to hear they have a cook book!
Would love to try this - I have made shakshuka before, but I have found that flavor to be lack luster, and I suspect part of it is the bell pepper. And the zhoug kind of reminds me of these sweet peppers my grandpa would fry in olive oil and then marinate in the same oil he used to fry them. Very intrigued.
lowkey loving these longer vids bc you seem more personable in them HAHA in all seriousness, do the dehydrated peppers have a chewy texture in the final product, or are they somehow rehydrated by the tomatoes + water?
IMO the best addition to shakshuka is halloumi, cubed (about 2cm) and deep-fried at low temp in extra virgin olive oil. It adds a salty, sharp, cheesy crunch to an already great dish.
Thank you so much for this video I just remembered to add the red bell peppers that I already have in my fridge in my tomato sauce I just made. Where was this recommendation before I started to cook today though 💕thanks
Your editing is fantastic with lots of personality. You are clearly both passionate about cooking, making videos and sharing your amazing cooking methods. Keep on shinning 🙌🏾
I like the recipe, but the way you made it is more of chilli with egg or modified Shakahouka (I think it might be spicy?). When we say Shakshouka it is usually simmered tomato thicc souce, spices, and eggs! I know it is plain, but thats it xD. Also, there is barely spicy food in middle-eastern cuisine, or from what I know particularly. Indian and Yemeni food variants have more spicy flavors.
omg i literally love this vid 😭 im in north africa and we have that too, but we scramble the egg (actually im not sure if they boil them first then crumble them or like scramble them) and we dont add bell pepers either so overall i just think its a simpler version! love the messenger sound effect btw (-○^)
Nice thing about my family cuz my mom literally cooks so many different things from our culture from scratch. We have so many different cooking instruments like a dehydrator among other things ahhh I wanna try cooking these kinds of things 😭
FYI this is a very complicated and fancy style of Shakshuka that we dont usually use in middle east, we make it in a simple way with much less ingredients and its super yummy and fast, so for anyone who wants to try it look up the simple recipe
I think you were trying to say a syllable that most English speakers can't say. It's schug but the ch is hard sound from the back of your throat. I speak Yiddish a dialect that's English to German and we use the sound a lot. It's also commonly used in Hebrew.
Nice recipe oppa.... Looking very delicious and I'll try it too..... Finally you are tooooooo cuteeeeeee😊😊😊😊 and your editing also ....... I hope we'll get a lots of videos from you..... Fighting ✊✊
I adore your videos from Instagram m. I am sorry I am disturbing you. I tried to see the close-up logo of Stainless Steel Press. Where did you buy this steel press?
I'm an Israeli guy and we eat shakshuka for breakfast or dinner once in a while and I think you made the recipe and shakshuka much more complicated. We make it more simply and in the and it is so taste
