I'll be honest. I love Mukesh Khanna, but I also maintain that he is not very smart. He's somewhat delusional and he fails to understand these little things that matter a lot in setting the right narrative, in mediating the right ideas. I was doubly sure of this when he criticised Animal for some absolutely superficial, stupid reasons. He basically represents the well-intentioned but cerebrally inadequate Right Wing filmmaking community. If Aditya Dhar was gearing up for Ashwatthama, which got shelved, why not give HIM a chance? Or someone from the Telugu or Marathi industry? Who'd at least be in sync with the ethos of Shaktimaan? I'm almost sure that Mukesh Khanna was mighty impressed by Minnal Murali's extraneous factors, and he zeroed in on Basil Joseph based on that superficial perception.

You are absolutely right Pratik bhai. For many of us Sunday mornings were made special by Shaktiman who taught us simple yet powerful messages from our Indian Sanskriti to become better human beings. I hope they stick to that and not stray away from it . Shaktiman is a children’s hero and he should stay like that.
