I agree. Not a fan, but he has great defense. His torso and head movement is incredible. just like Floyd's fights were never crazy to watch, but it's about points and not taking damage.

Stevenson is on another level with his counter punching. He is right there in your face and doesn't get hit. Not boring but extremely skilled in defense

Issue is the people he’s fighting have no business making ur to 12 rounds! He needs to know who he can be cautious with and who he cash be more offensive minded with. He didn’t have to use defense with this guy. He could’ve demolished him and got him outta there. But he’s so stuck on defense that it drags out the fight. He won 11/12 rounds against the guy that was beating frank martin up until the 12th round. Frank martin won 5/8 rounds on tank. You don’t watch fights you watch reels.

Not boring at all. A master class. The other guy was no push over. He took hard shots well. Shakur outclassed him and showed great boxing and footwork. If these type of matches are not entertaining you probably better off watching another sport. Or try boxing yourself more often.
Shakur Stevenson is a very good technical boxer only that we have a lot of casuals who think boxing should always be a brawl and don't know shit about the sport they claim to support.
It's like people want to see Shakur fight like Tank. They have different styles. This is boxing. Shakur is an amazing boxer and has a chance to beat Tank. If they fought it would be a great fight. Tank could knock Shakur out, Shakur could frustrate Tank's plans and beat him off points. We don't know. All we can do is predict and see what happens as we compare the two styles and guess what will happen. So much more than just skill goes into fighting, it's mental emotional AND physical. There are things at play in these fights that we don't see so you can't only rely on what you see when you criticize! Tanks team and Shakurs team will size up their fighters and make a game plan and we'll see who comes out on top! I enjoyed the highlights!

It’s never a good thing when you can hear the crowd as clearly as you can hear the announcers. Shakur knows he has to pick it up, hopefully he does just that.

Shakur didn't run this fight. This was actually a defensively good fight. People just wNt these fighters to fight like a Rocky movie and get beat disabled.
Shakur is a very dangerous fight for Tank. He can do what Frank Martin couldn't do. Fight 12 rounds backing up without taking any big shots. When you see him running against bums....he's practicing for Tank.

Shakur very skilled.. everyone wants him to finish people...but he lacks power...i see why he just doesnt go for the kill, he lands nice shots n dont hurt people, so in his head hes probably thinking, why gas myself out trying to finish someone off when I know I'm not hurting them with my punches, and the only way to overcome that is to do it by accumulative punches but it's not his style..... Shakur is ine of the most skilled n disciplined boxers right now as we speak... He knows he doesn't have a whole lot of power so he saves his energy to box n use his really good defense....thats not gonna work with some one who has as much skill as him or even a little bit of his skill n power, His chin idk we need to see....I dont see him going up to 140 or 145 un future because of power..... You need skills is everything, but you need at least a little pop to get people off you, because a person with skill and power will be hard to get them off...Tank n Teofimo are his best opponents if he decides to go up... Because Shakur will beat everyone at 130....The kings a light divisions is Teofimo Lopez and Tank Davis.

Casual boxing fans only thonk about knock out. Shakur counters, he is precise, has that hood vision, read his opponents knows how and when to move forward or backward and most importantly barely get touched. A good counter puncher.

The fight was great, Shakur defense was amazing but I think he needs to change his counters. I didn’t see one uppercut he needs to change his punch selection, especially on the counters and he needs some bodywork. I think he can get people out of there, but he gotta take a little more chances on offense
