I know how you feel about just going by alone and focusing on photography. I love that 55 1.8 lens for landscape. Super sharp, and the perspective somehow just draws you into the scene. Thumbs up for Cockney rhyming slang.

nice idea for the open aperture pano for landscape. About the filters - try the new lee system with the clip-on cpl. I think it's the best solution now.

Have had a good curry on Skye myself, at Broadford from memory. Also see if you can get a meal at 3 Chimney's - there is a long waiting list I am told. Have a good trip anyways and look forward to seeing what you shoot. Enjoyable vlog today and cascades were very nice as was the images :)

Great fun clip. Learned a bit. Love the mosquito quote. In NZ forests you get attacked by sandflies which are the size of helicopters in the day and mozzies that have inbuilt V12 engines at night.

Awesome video! Just wanted to pint or that you probably don’t need Nd’s for getting motion in water. You can combine a butts of photos at a faster shutter speed in photoshop to make one longer exposure.

Have to say Gavin, that bit at the end about shooting pics v vlogs showed a different side to you - I felt like it was the 'real' you! You seemed genuinely 'fulfilled' with your day's work. Like you said, the jokes and skits are what makes your channel but I enjoyed this one as much as those where I was crying with laughter because it was a refreshing change.

Good stuff. I'll be wandering around NW Scotland 27th - 5th. Will keep an eye out for y'all if already up north by then. BTW - I imagine you're following it, but Faroes are kicking off a ton of new fees all over the place for access to sites. I've seen mixed news but from this month they've rolled out set trails and a 60 Euro fee for Trælanípan. Do believe I read that the puffins have arrived in Mykines though.

@@fototripper Hotter than Bacelona . The Bank Holiday was the hottest in Blighty since 1947ish. Back to jumpers and rain coats tomorrow though. 10-12 degrees. It was twirl-tastic in my household yesterday. I ate too many twirls and had to retire to a horizontal position to recover from such debauchery.

Very good zenfalls. The shallow DoF works well in 11:37. Also I have a patented solution to avoid wobbliness in such sophisticated systems as spazmo rockets. It's called the second rubber band, but don't get me wrong it's not very simple as the second band has to be positioned and tuned carefully by a special tuning engineer, so it'll only cost you $50 + accommodation and travel for the engineer.

I can no longer recommend it due to the disaster that happened there when they refused to give us individual bills. Something that is done the world over without any problem seemed impossible for them until one of our group had a massive screaming fit. Suddenly they figured out how to do it. I was then followed outside by a Tommy Concrete who wanted to give me a Glaswegian kiss but my repeated apologies seemed to calm him so that he could return to his half eaten naan bread. Suffice to say, I will never go there again.

Definitely, breakthrough has some interesting solutions... Don't have a filter system yet, Nisi are very popular in France but I am looking for the most lightweight system for backpacking. Great shots by the way ;)

Waiting for breakthrough to produce their new magnetic filters! I have the ring and they took the their filters off because they are upgrading them to allow you to stack them if you need too
