At a $160k plus, this is a issue for 90% of those who might be interested. It just too expensive for to many folks. Also, you boxes yourself into a corner. If this had something to offer like a day-cruiser or a family layout but its just a glorified bay boat. Lastly, size and power options, a single outboard doesn't bring security of being stuck out on the water, nor does the 25 ft limitations. I do like the tri-hull design for stability, but even this is a bit limiting due to the higher weight.
to busy for me. not making use of fly by wire, auto trim, internal hydraulics joy stick control etc an epic fail. trimarine hull interesting take...but no lift from spray says to me REALLY wet! no way this "cuts thru waves." moar like "wave cut thru you!" would appear..
Do I want one? Hell yeah! Would I use for fly fishing in less than 12 inches of water? Hell no! Have I been on boats in 8 to 10 inches poling? Tons! Folks this is just not a true skinny water fisher. Would I park it in the two feet and go wading? Just give me a call.
I feel the same way. How is their nothing (that iv seen yet anyway) like this for freshwater? Im in wisconsin and i can see smaller versions being amazing for anything we have if it works as shown in the video. From ducks in the marsh on threw to salmon on lake Michigan even.

The difference is they had money because Wesley Hudson's parents and Grand parents.
The Shallow Sport X3 is designed off his Grandfather's 1996 27' Latitude ST design. His Grandfather is in the boat building Hall of Fame (Falcon Boats, Houston). Wes Hudson was in middle-school when the 27 Latitude design was put on paper by his grandfather. His father, Rex Hudson, conceived Shallow Sport Boats in 1983 with the 18' Classic aka The 18 Texas Legend. Wes Hudson purchased SS in 2006 from his parent's Rex and Connie Hudson. He has guided the company to being one of the largest boat builders in the Texas Saltwater genre.
Haha, funny Ralph Brown, my grandfather was building boats like this when you were still in diapers....Ever hear of the Falcon Skipjack or Falcon Malibu?.. do some research before you pop off... LOL, and for the record the first time I've ever been to the Tamp Boat show was three months ago.. must have been someone else...
