I get a little bit of wind in here but not too much. When I go to the bigger lakes and rivers, there's plenty of wind. I'll try to hide from the wind and sun as much as possible.
Hey yank! How much do you use your fish finder? And are you using it to actually locate fish or to look at cover? I really enjoy your videos, the music is awesome, too!
I am still trying to learn how to use it to be honest. I do like that I can see the water temperature the depth and the structure. I find stuff out in the middle of the lake that I didn't even know it was there. So it really helps me concentrate on where crappie might be. I've actually fished a couple times without it and I kind of feel lost not having it to watch the water temp and the depth of the area I am fishing. It's like having a extra tool to give you some extra tips. Thank you. I should have a good video coming soon today 😊
What river system do you fish? Is it tidal? I am trying to figure how to fish a freshwater creek that is affected by tidal swings. It is convenient to my house but not sure if freshwater fish bite more on a particular piece of tide. Any experience with that?
No sir only on videos I've seen that.. this is the cache river system in Arkansas. The Carolinas have tidel systems and Louisiana. You may type that in and find a few fishermen in those areas that can tell you how to catch fish with the tidal swings. Thank you for watching
I see you got an ACC Crappie Stix rod. That’s what I use as my main fishing rod and I have no complaints with it. It would definitely be cool to hear what you have to say about its pros and cons. War mouth came to my mind as well. I enjoyed the video!
Cool. I have heard people call something Goggleeye but didn't know it was the same as the warmouth fish but I do now. I will keep some to try. Thank you Travis.
So how would you compare the ACC rod to the one you normally use? What prompted you to try that one? I have lots of rods, one ACC 8’ model. I frankly dont think they are any better than the BnM rods
Well you guys know I love my Shakespeare micro series 5'6 rods they are great rods and very affordable. You can't go wrong with the quality of the rod for the price. On the other hand this 6 ft 2 dock shooter rod is pretty amazing, Especially the way it holds the line away from the rod when you cast. It has a awesome guide system. The line just flows through without touching the rod. I will show you that in my next video but I am still testing them I am impressed so far.
Good morning Yanker, it's been 3 days since you posted this video. I know that the weather has been pretty rough the last couple of days. I was thinking about you and your family and hopefully you are all safe. Looking forward to seeing your next video. Be safe.
Yes sir. I am trying it out on my next video. Works pretty good for Crappie so I thought I'd give it a try on the bluegills too. You know there are some strong fighters for their size. Give it a good workout.
