Hey everyone! I hope you are well 😊 We felt like we were sticking out too much so thought it would be a good idea to try and find some traditional clothing in this video, stick around till the end of the video to see the reveal 😜 How do I look in a Shalwar Kameez? Let me know in the comments section below! Look forward to reading your wonderful comments, Much Love 💖💖
I notice most pakistanis are shy to approach you.. i can see a lot of them smiling at your camera from behind while you walk around... Pakistanis are very lovely people... ❤❤❤
Thanks Josh for showing this side of Pakistan I never knew existed. This might help also change the perception of others towards Pakistan. Sometimes we see too much bad side and forget that there is also good. By the way, you two look good on that Kameez. Take care! ❤
My pleasure! That is my whole goal with these videos 😊 Lets hope it changes it even for a small handful of people.. there is good everywhere if you know where to go! Thanks so much for the support! 💖
The kameez looked good on you guys! Looks very comfortable too. Not to mention your new “murse” man purse 👍🏼 More hospitality from our new friends in Pakistan! Mabuhay !
@@TheJourneyofJosh Sadly compared to the Philippines where some people may scam or take advantage of foreigners😬Can't really blame them though coz' of life in poverty but then again also not an excuse to scam people🤔🙄 Big respect to the Pakistani people for welcoming you with open arms❤️
@@NatzCorpuzPakistan also have rich normal and poor people! But it’s a cultural thing the hospitality to everyone! Also friendly and care once you know them !
Hi Josh. I’m American in NJ and your channel came on my feed today. I’ve followed many Vloggers, different countries. I’m enjoying your videos and your slight British accent is great, easy to understand. I started watching your Pakistan series. I hope you show in your videos your accommodations as some others show. Who is the other Gentleman with you? Thanks for sharing and be safe! Rob
That traditional clothing really looks good on you Josh 😊, i never thought people in Pakistan are this friendly, this helps change the perceptions of other towards Pakist, great job there Josh 👍🏼
That's really a cool attire there buddy! Look like the locals now. Very kind polite people of Pakistan! Unlike what is portrayed in movies and stuff, no offense people of pakistan..✌ We philippines don't take sides and want peace with everyone! Long live pakistan!👍🇵🇰🇬🇧🇵🇭
Thank you brother! Definitely don't stick out quite as much now 😅Yeah they are so kind! That is why I am making these videos, to change perspectives 🥰 That is a very kind things to say 🙏
Wow there very nice people , the color of the Shalwar Kameez that you picked is a perfect color and all good job , kameez sounds almost like Kamison in the Philippines , but in my country it’s called Barong Tagalog , the people in the mall Are really helpful and friendly ❤️
They are so nice Cindy! Thank you for the kind words and support 💖😊 Ah I see! I had no idea they had something similar in PH.. When it is usually worn?
I love that dried fruits area, plus the locals are so friendly also, this might help change the perception of others towards Pakistan, last but not the least traditional clothing really looks good on you Josh 😍😊

❤❤❤ PH I have been following you since your PH trip, and I really love seeing your Pakistan trip; it gives positive things and changes the way people think about Pakistan. Mabuhay!
I'm enjoying the first two videos so far. Will you be visiting the northern parts? Hunza valley, fairy Meadows, Skarduand Naran kaghan are beautiful but watch out for wildlife like bears and leopards though! Also, stick to cash and dress like the locals! Pakistan is an incredibly beautiful country full of rich history and stunning natural beauty. The people are very hospitable and they have one of the most fascinating ancient civilizations which I think makes Pakistan an incredible travel destination. Unfortunately, even as a seasoned traveler, Pakistan is not as easy for female solo travelers. It's best to travel in groups or have a local guide to make it easier to move around. Unlike India, where it's easier to connect with expats and meet other travelers, Pakistan is a bit more complex. The rule of thumb is, as long as you have a male "guardian" with you, you don't have to fear anything. I had to pretend to be "married" to a friend to be able to get around to certain parts. Of course there are still restrictions. There are male only places and females can't participate in male only activities. Apart from the 3-4 major cities, there are no public spaces for women. A Pakistani friend once said, "it is a lot EASIER and FUN to travel in Pakistan once you hit 35 and look married/mature/mom of a few kids. That not only gets you respect (even if you actually are single - just play the part of being married) but you will also get a lot of "genuine" help from local men on the road." But I'm not yet 30 so I don't know how true that is 😅
So happy to hear that! They will be getting a lot better very soon, stay tuned 😊 We did not visit the northern parts in this trip but I will be going back again and doing all of that! I don't think that is entirely true as I have some multiple other female solo travellers on RU-vid in Pakistan who seemed to get around fine, although I am sure it probably does take a lot of travel experience, strength and confidence compared to a man travelling in the country. I also saw a few duo female travellers when I was here so that is also an option 😊
@@TheJourneyofJoshah yes I've seen some of the videos! it's not impossible for female travelers especially in Islamabad or in posh areas of Karachi or Lahore but outside the cities proved to be a bit more challenging. Last time, I stayed for half a year and it was definitely eye opening in terms of women's rights. Despite that my experience there was mostly positive and the people are wonderful especially the Kalasha and ismaili communities in Hunza so i'm returning again at the end of the year for a motorcycle tour this time 😅
I don’t often make videos in malls unless I need to buy something like in this video (usually you are not allowed to film)but thanks for the suggestion ☺️
That Schalwar Kameez really looks good on you the Lapis Lazuli color Josh and Connor too. To be honest I never expected the hospitality of Pakistanis they are amazing people. It interests me a lot about Pakistan and the locals and I hope i can visit Islamabad in the future.
Thank you so much Michelle! That is great to hear, that is exactly why I am making the videos because people don't realise how much this country has to offer 😊
I am great thanks brother, hope you are well! I have visited burns road, video coming soon 😜 Stay tuned, I hope you enjoy the videos! Please feel free to share within the Pakistani community! 🙏
Here we go again bro...looking AWESOME bro haha..try it with the "keffiyeh" the bandana..or araqchin the small round cap..... even in my home..we call tea as chai...chai plain..chai masala..chai ginger.......and the word thank you also is similar...."shukria"..we say "shukran"...

Great videos of Pakistan. Josh get some cards made for your channel. In Pakistan as they are cheap to print. There is 220 million people in Pakistan hand out the card especially in big cities . Keep up the good work from Sal in the UK.
Thank you so much Sal! I didn't have any cards are the time of making these videos unfortunately but I do now 😊 Please feel free to share it within the Pakistani community 💖
Hi Josh. Kumusta? You handled that interview quite well. Good to see you and Connor receiving warm welcome from Pakitanis. Ingat and all the best to both of you.
Okay lang, po! Thank you very much haha, I was not expecting to be doing an interview at all 😂 Yeah we were welcomed with open arms 😊Thank you so much for the support Mary, ingat always!
Hey Josh , glad you're having a fun time in Pakistan. I've only seen 2 videos of yours so far but seems like it's been going smoothly. One thing I would say is after watching so many vloggers visit Pakistan this might be one of the first where someone goes to centarurus 😄 As a Pakistani I would recommend anyone to go there but be wary of the overcharged prices, overall it's just a regular shopping mall with the usual mall environment. Oh something that was really convenient shopping there was the fact you could use your visa card at most stores. Anytime I went there it was just for a movie and a cinnamon roll from cinnabon lol. Also not sure how long you're in islamabad because I would like to suggest some local spots. 1) Damane koh- Has a great view of Islamabad and is woth visiting during both day and night time. more enjoyable though during the night. 2) monal- a restaurant which is past damane koh and is great for eating out at night also with view, food is quite expensive though. 3) lok virsa museum 4) Jinna super market- this is also another shopping plaza basically but in the open and has many good food options too, great to do during the night. Oh there is also kaspas desert which has some great western type sweeteries. 5) Murree- this is a hilltop town basically which is like an hour a half away from Islamabad. Great place to experience some chilly weather and see some beautifiul landscapes. Now if you have the time I would suggest going to Lahore, then from there plan a trip to the northern areas: hunza valley, naran kaghan...Believe me it will be worth it. You really need a solid month or two to actually see some great places.. Have fun Josh and don't eat too much street food out there or you'll end up in the hospital with a drip 😉.
Hey Sammar! You'd be surprised how many vloggers have been to Centaurus mall haha! I only went there as I wanted a good quality Shalwar Kameez and bag that will last years 😊 Unfortunately we are not there anymore but thanks for the suggestions, I will take them for next time! Lahore videos coming next week 😜 I will be coming back on another trip to do all of the northern places like Hunza 🙏 Please feel free to share it within the Pakistani community 💖
Yeah you'll have a great time in Lahore, lots of food options and they're open late night. Make sure to check out badhsah mosque, liberty street. These the are some places I go whenever I visit Pakistan@@TheJourneyofJosh
Hi josh nice to see u in Pakistan one tip if u want to buy bag etc try to buy outside from street market with much good price in malls price is triple.
Thanks for the tip! You will see me in markets in upcoming videos but I don't like to cheap out on this that I will be using all the time as I want them to last 😊 Hope you enjoy the upcoming videos! Please feel free to share the videos in the Pakistani community 🥰
@@TheJourneyofJosh I have the perfect bag you were looking for. It’s called a shoulder bag and I use it when I travel. Many selections on Amazon, where I got mine. I like pockets in them. Some are mini back packs but can be worn cross shoulder.
Thank you so much for the kind words! I have bought many things in markets as you'll see soon but I like to spend more money on things that I will use everyday as I want them to last longer without breaking etc 😊 Hope you enjoy the upcoming videos! 🥰
Yes that makes sense. I found your channel today and currently watching your Pakistan series so you have a new British Pakistani subscriber. I'll definitely be watching the rest of your journey. Thank you for sharing. 😊✌
