I don't know why the heck nobody asks for a reaction of the song "Lisbon", is such a beatiful song and a memorable performance on the Shaman's Ritualive DVD.
It was always awesome when André starts to play the piano. I remember one of his last concerts i went in São Paulo. It was a free concert in downtown and he got like the last show of the festival, after names like krisium and claustrofobia. He had a piano backtrack for fairy tale but the audio sistem didnt want to cooperate that day and eventually everybody was like: dude, thats not gonna work. And André sayed: no no no, It is gonna work one way or another. So he went to the piano and played the entire song live even If he probably prepare himself to that concert with the backtrack and It was fucking alwesome. Or in the last concert i went, the Shaman reunion, when he let the audience sing the first half of the chorus of innocence with only his piano playing in the back...by the way, innocence is a great song to react, but the Studio version
Sup Daniel, the guitarist (Hugo Mariutti) is very underrated, but many people put him in our brazilian top 3 together with Kiko Loureiro. Hugo is amazing! If you watch the Ritualive version of Carry On, he made his guitar sound like 2, amazing performance.
I agree. Shaman live performances were out of this world. So tight. I hope you and your projects are doing well. It’s really nice to see your passion for these, and other Brazilian (or Latin american) bands after all these years. Keep rocking, man!
Dani, I don’t know if you’ll agree with my thinking. However, what I think is best in the style we love are the Feelings and riffs, as the music goes. Anywhere DISTANT THUNDER, will bring the real Mosh in the crowd... That’s it. loved, difficult notes, Fast, but that Feeling prevails a little more, the emotion comes with strength... Strong hug...
