The lead of "The Roots". They're a Philly band from the mid 90s. Yes an actual hiphop band that used real instruments. You might recognize some of the bandmates, Questlove, Scott Storch.

Black Thought is one of the most skilled to ever do it. Bar for bar he can stand up to anyone. Check out his freestyle on sway in the morning with Method Man. Or his stuff with The Roots (his main band). It will not disappoint.

I'm black thoughts biggest fan . Love him. But I don't get this type of best freestyle ever stuff ??. Freestyle in itself is nonsense now . This isn't freestyle . This is black thought being black thought and just spitting fire . It's what he does . Super intelligent to switch it up with the beat etc. he kills any beat. But it's not a freestyle. It's just ten mins of written gold .
