THe way students behave here depends on how serious they take teachings. How they choose to reflect themselves. How they take part of the Sangha and become a reflection to others by acting accordingly to everyone around them. Taking that moment to be kind and yield when driving, help someone in need, and those struggling. When you feel hurt, use compassion as strength.
Someone is very confused about the lineage. Rules, and heads of the School. It is nice Shamar Ripoche takes time to visit European and US DW centers and enforce the importance of the practice, and how he feels the lineage needs to remain for those in the west. With no separation, however he spoke in 2002 clearly on how Buddha's teachings adapt to the needs of the place it is taught so others can absorb it. That is why Shamar remains a head teacher of DW centers as well.

The 14th Dalai Lama approved-agreed to it . Hence the Shamar line gained wider publicity . And now the Shamar had questioned or cast doubt on the credibility of the 14th Dalai Lama and Karmapa Ogyen Thinley Dorje . Why didn't Shamar Chokyi Lodro reject or disavow the reinstatement given by the Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso , if Shamar Chokyi Lodro felt so strongly against the Dalai Lama . So the Dalai Lama was accused of "meddling in Kamtsang Kagyu when it came to Karmapa Ogyen Thinley Dorje" , right? So when the Dalai Lama reinstated the Shamar line , the Dalai Lama was already meddling in INTERNAL KAMTSANG Kagyu affairs? So the16th Karmapa was wrong to have asked the Dalai Lama to meddle in internal Kamtsang Kagyu affairs by seeking permission and approval to reinstate the Shamar line?So Shamar Chokyi Lodro's enthronement in 1964 Rumtek Sikkim was a result of 16th Karmapa asking the Dalai Lama to 'meddle in internal Kamtsang Kagyu affairs-matters?" @juliegyatso No wonder Shamar Rinpoche said that if you think your Guru is a Bodhisattva, then he is a Bodhisattva. If you think Guru is not smart, then the Guru is not smart.
if a buddhist do not respect sangha and lineage Guru, he cannot receive the genuine Dharma from the Buddha, because he do not know how to take refuge to the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.
