She did deserve more appreciation but be real here. She wasn’t exactly the best. Plus Ian and lip also helped take care of the kids and pitched in with money. Fiona could have made a better life but kept fucking it up. Can’t blame her for that either which is the hard part.

Yeah Fiona in my opinion is pretty mature in many levels for her age , parenting ( few mistakes but hey thats life), money, selfless etc. but we can see how she's still a kid in many emotional issues : relationships, not letting people help, being vulnurble, sympathy, how she handles her own emotional problems, chaos addict. Most of these issues if not all are or were caused by Frank and Monica

Frank dropped them on the side of the road, and Ian had a fever so she walked to a hospital a while away, they didn’t see him for like a week or two ( I think), and then when he did get back, he asked for money

I think Ian is pretty appreciative of her most of the time. I think he's just reserved. I think her relationship with Debbie was extremely complicated. She kind of treated Debbie the worst. She was the most unforgiving of Debbie and never allow Debbie to make mistakes. She was very harsh and even though she did a lot for Debbie, she also antagonized her a lot and if I were Debbie, I would not be able to appreciate what she did in the early days because of how she treated her in the later days. Debbie kicking her out of the house though was way the fuk harsh.

And also, I think Fiona was the most lenient with lip. Now there was a guy who fuxked up all the time. And she didn't treat him half as bad as she treated Debbie. And Debbie was younger. You're supposed to be stupid when you're 13. Not so much when you're 18.

Liam and Ian too tbh. Debbie and lip were always assholes to her. I hate them.

@@tahliamj no they were definitely ungrateful. Fiona supported all them and they never even gave her a thank you. Most of them did stupid shit that put more pressure on Fiona. Lip becoming an alcoholic. Debby getting pregnant which makes Fiona have more mouths to feed. The only ones who were truly grateful for her were Carl and Liam. Debby, Ian, and lip fucked yo many times but the moment Fiona fucked up they all turned their backs on her, when they needed someone to reach out to, Fiona was always there but when Fiona needed someone they weren’t there.

@@tahliamj drinking alcohol is controllable being weak minded is what causes an addiction. Lip chose to keep drinking his problems away which ended up causing more. I never said anything about Ian. Yes it’s Debby body but she made those choices expected Fiona to support her. Me calling them ungrateful has to day with them not supporting her in her time of need but always expected her to support them and be there for them. Fiona never asked for a thank you but she damn sure deserved one.

The were ungrateful because they constantly took her for granted then through her aside when she was having her own problems.

My dad used to smoke heavy and drink heavy before I was born but after a certain incident with my siblings he completely cut alcohol off. My cousin loves to drink more than anything in this world, when he got home from work he would drink, when he ate he would drink, before he went to sleep he would drink and when he got up he would drink. The thing that separated him from others was that he never let it affect his job, that’s what I mean by control. You can be addicted to something but still have control over your addiction. Now on to Fiona did you not watch season 3 when she got custody over them? Fiona couldn’t leave or do her own thing until Liam was 18. She was still responsible for Debbie and Carl, Fiona couldn’t just leave.

I know she eventually left but that because of bad writing and the writers forgetting the earlier seasons.

My childhood consisted of someone yelling at me and being told I was never gonna make it that brought me to a terrible place in my mind my dad would get angry and walk tourds me my older sister and mom would always protect me my dad never understood till later what was happening breakdowns after breakdowns years of being in the hospital almost dieing on 3 sepert occasions put me through alot I'm still numb inside after 4 years

Lip was a big help he played a big brother not a father but he definitely had more respect then Fiona a lot more

Lip appreciated Fiona but he was 2nd. He was the father as much as she was the mother. He was smart enough to escape poverty on a scholarship but got pulled back in because Fiona messed up and spiralled so a lot of that anger in that scene is also anger about how now HE has to sacrifice and put his life on hold. His life hadn't truly been put on hold yet until that season and Fiona was his scapegoat. Obviously she also did a horrible thing that is enough to warrant anger but it wasn't the only thing he was angry about. Debbie though is just downright ungrateful. She grew up with Fiona who gave her what Monica couldn't give Fiona. Unconditional love and opportunity. Fiona did her best to set Debbie up for success and feel emotionally supported as best she could. So Debbie never fully appreciates how difficult it was for Fiona to be a child mother by force. Debbie wanting to be a teen mom by choice is a completely different thing than Fiona. Plus, she and Fiona are not on the same level. If Fiona had kept her baby, she was old enough to understand the responsibility, Debbie wasn't at all. She just did it to defy Fiona.
