Shamisen Live by Ki&Ki - Sunday in Tokyo 

How is it that over 18,ooo people have watched this video, but barely over just 1,ooo people had the decency to leave a like? Who are these phillistines? Makes me sick! Ki Ki your music is priceless, and you just give it freely here on RU-vid...you are such a blessing to the ears and spirit!

Because I've been watching a fair amount of SIT/Kiki's vids, RU-vid recommended a video - 林英哲　Ei-tetsu Hayashi & 木下伸市　Shinn-ichi Kino-shita "-SHI-BU-KI-" - which shows a shamisen and taiko folk performance in the National Theater, Chiyoda. Wonderful example of percussion's complementary aspect for the tsugaru shamisen. Wishing you all success on your shamisen courses.

At 16:00 in video a question was asked as to what instrument would be good to accompany shamisen, and Ki&Ki replied maybe a percussion. I think a bodhrán (traditional Irish drum; I play one myself) would work great as a subdued background to your music 😊 As always, you, ladies are great to listen to and see 😁👍

Amazing performance as usual!!! These videos are just perfect for when I'm crocheting, I'm going to have this whole channel on repeat for a while! Lol The first time I learned about Shamisen was at a anime con, the Shamisen player was with a drummer, I forget the name of that type of Japanese drums, and they sounded really great!

15:38 koto, KOTO, *KOTO!* why do they not consider a koto? It seems like such an obvious answer to me. A trio of Ki Ki complimented with a koto would be phenominally ethereal and would probably induce such a deep trance one could never escape--forever trapped in a state of blissfully hypnotic catatonia!
