@@FDNY8231 I have a special love for my firefighters. My cousin Sammy is one, and one of our unsung heroes died with my baby cousins trying to rescue them in 1968. Cousin Robert was brought back to life by paramedic support resources waiting for him to be handed over by an exhausted and crying fireman. Love you!!!❤️
@@FDNY8231 I'm a great grandfather now and I salute your men and women as they fly by on their way to bring hope to our city's community. I live by a station, when the sirens go off at 3:00 AM,.. there's hope!😭
@@FDNY8231 We're in Rochester NY. A busy fire district. The most impressive thing is that roar of an old American La France engine. It can actually drone out the horn and siren. Chills. But I won't drone on. Thanks guys! Your bravado and dedication is highlighted only by the awesome power that's been activated, and the end results.
Lots of guys standing around itching and scratching, with no wet stuff being put on red stuff. Classic foundation savers at "work." Oh look, they turned hose on after five minutes of confusion.
The time it took to get water flowing was because one of the engines had a pump issue and the other had lines IN the structure (not seen) Either way fully involved and knocked down to overhaul in 30 minutes is a great job ....
jay s Well, except if you noticed in the beginning when it started smoking it became lighter & lighter. My neighbors house always smokes when his furnace comes on. I attribute both to poor maintenance. Hence, perhaps the reason for the fire? The bigger issue was that the meter was still plugged in & the electric service was still up in the air. Fire fighters were starting to use their tools to open up the walls. Had the power company cut the power to the structure? Opening the main at the service panel is not a good work practice. Often times they “leak” voltage through the switch while open.
