Beautiful finish! I use to hate my day one hair too, but now I'm loving it. I've never done a pre poo with just the water and oil I always use a rinse out conditioner and oil, but I am going to try the oil and water and see how it works on my hair. Loving the grey!!! I was just at Walmart and a lady was just starting to become natural and turning grey her grey came through but she was looking for hair color and I talked her out of it! I’m almost 59 with 20/20 marking my 60! I said silver fox queens are on the rise! So glad I found your channel me going grey in May I’m still a newbie but so Excited bout my lil grey hair Idunno what to say! Sunday Morn. JJMua, now my granddaughter just told me about the Coconut Oil Before the initial shampoo. Going to try it and going to try the other items you,ve listed. I like my hair after a couple of day, not the 1st day after the washing. but as I embrace this Grey Journey IT'S ALRIGHT. Even though we,re natural doesn't we shouldn't pamper our hair. I love fragrance oils scents in my hair. Happy Sunday JJ.

I also have salt and pepper gray hair with more gray in the back and towards front of my head. I didn't feel the need to pre poo. I had some product buildup so I used Aunt Jackie's intense moisture clarifying shampoo for the first time. The beauty supply store didn't carry Melanin or Silk Elements products. They also didn't have Long and Luxe masque in stock. (I use Taliah Waalid products; I tend to wash with her moisturizing shampoo) then sectioned my hair into 6 applied deep conditioned with Shea Moisture deep treatment masque and 2 strand twisted it, placed a plastic bag on my head and sat under dryer for 30 mins. After a thorough rinsing, curls were popping. I put a tee shirt on my head like you did. Then I sprayed Taliah's protective styles intense moisture bamboo & coconut milk leave in condish over my head. Massaged it in from root to tip. Detangled 6 sections then and styled those sections one at a time. I mixed Eco gel 10 with argon oil you'd recommended with Taliah's Curly Curl cream. Please clarify the LOC method is the L your leave in condish and are the O & C the styling gel with argon oil and the cream? Are the O & C mixed together or applied separately? By the time I got to the top of my head it was nearly dry so I spritzed with water and more L followed by combo OC. Sat under dryer for 15-20 minutes went to bed in a silk scarf. In the morning, I put TW styling oil on my hands and proceeded to untwist. A few twisted sections on the sides and back were slightly damp. Thoroughly moisturized. I sat under dryer for 15 more mins. I had to meet someone so it picked it out as best as I could without disturbing curls. The hair in the crown towards the front was dry and had very little curl defination. Ugh. I struggle with my styling in the top and bangs bc it is fly away and frizzes up. I think I should've (1) tried the shampoo and styling routine over the weekend. (2). Should have tried 3 strand twisting plus w 2 strand twist like you did in your morning shampoo routine video some time ago. Did I do the right thing by spritzing my hair with water when it started to dry? I co wash my hair once a month and I also deep condition and use a leave in. Basically, my twist outs don't last long, I have to LOC retwist my hair on days 3 and 5, yet my crown and sides remain so dry that I have to slap on a headband. As for my recent twist out, should I just freshen or LOC/style the dry sections or wash my hair and restyle all over again? By the way, you were right, the combination of gel and cream left my hair on the back and sides so soft and moisturized but not the crown and bangs. What could be the problem? HELP! I dread washing day. I apologize for the length of this post and if I repeated myself. As a gray haired woman with natural hair, I had to become a subbie. Your hair is sooo beautiful. This was a great encouragement for me on preparing for my shampoo day. I just received my Melanin Twisting-Elongating Style Cream and Oil. I did a wash and go and will see what day two looks like. I have a large amount of gray hair which I notice tends to be uncooperative in the moisture area.

Thanks for sharing, and as ALWAYS LOVELY. One thing I don't see many grey naturals do is a wash-n-go. Have you considered trying one? Despite grey being disrespectful you have a nice curl pattern that looks like you could totally rock one.
