Summer Nights Show Guide:
0:28 Intro with Corky, Ikaika, and Shouka
6:57 - Relate Segment with Shouka
11:30 Glow in the Light with Ikaika and Corky
16:30 Make a Splash and Ending with Corky, Ikaika, and Shouka
Loved this show! I finally got to see Shouka do the relate segment and there were some novel behaviors all around. Examples include Shouka's breakspin at 1:30 and Ikaika's alien at 5:30. I'd also like to point out that Shouka was asked for aliens at 2:43 and 3:34 but basically turned them into high jumps by the glass.
Corky, Ikaika, and Shouka (Killer Whales) at SeaWorld San Diego on 6/15/15.

I have some of this exact show on camera! If only I knew you were there! I actually was on the big screen one time. You might not have seen me though:)

Does Anyone know the hand signals that the trainers use to tell the orcas to do a front flip? I know the signal for the vertical spin that Corky does..

Thanks for sharing these videos. I was curious about a couple things in the park. Do they still have the large map of the U.S. in that one area that was painted on the concrete with water in the great lakes? And also, does the Budweiser company still market the one area of the park (pavillion maybe). I remember there being clydesdale horses around there.

Caitlin Edghill Thanks for watching! I'm not sure about the map of the U.S. I believe Budweiser has been gone from the park quite a while ago once the park stopped being owned by Anheuser-Busch. The area that used to have the Clydesdale horses is now home to Animal Connections. Flamingos, capybaras, tortoises, and various terrestrial animals live there and sometimes are brought out to meet guests.

Thank you so much for answering! The last time I was able to go was in 1998 I believe. I had just graduated high school. I was born in 80 and would often go in the late 80's early 90's. I remember they had a fun VR ride at one point also. Not sure, but something about antarctica stands out with that. Things always change but it's interesting to see through your videos how some things have stayed similar and some things have changed greatly. I consider myself lucky that I got to see the shows in the past where the trainers were in the water.

Random question: do the orcas ever do tailwalking like the dolphins do, or are they too big to do that behavior?

daughteroftiaran Pretty much the best they can do is hover above the surface slightly above the height of their pecs. Shouka does a behavior in which she backs up but it can be interpreted as a backwards tailwalk. Here's a video of it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I1Dc-MZ2RyA.html
