This is one of the reasons Shana remains one of my favorite anime characters. At the beginning of the series, she's so cold and arrogant and unattuned to her own feelings. She gains so much emotional maturity over the course of the series though, and it's very satisfying.
OMG noooooo. Why did I have to discover this information T.T Shakugan no Shana was the first anime that I genuinely enjoyed but it's been a long time and I've forgotten what her voice sounds like. Now that I've also seen Gintama, I can't unhear Kagura's voice. My brain immediately thinks this is one of those parody episodes of Gintama T.T
Unrestricted Spells are basically emotions. This is why Margery casts them with her poems. Love is the most powerful emotion of all. Therefore it's the most powerful Unrestricted Spell. So obvious, so logical and yet when I watched the series I never saw it coming.
@@icarus9097 I’m not so sure about that. Fear maybe a strong emotion and it may create a bunch of mistakes and all, but fear only appears in a single form. It’s probably one of the most recognisable emotion. Fear can also appear in any situation. Simply losing a object that you care about can make you afraid. Being somewhere you don’t recognise can make you afraid. While on the other hand, love is not so easily recognisable and can appear in many different forms, depending on the person and it’s mentality. The love of destruction is still love. Killing someone to love him is madness, I agree, but it’s still love. Love is way more versatile and unique than fear. So I can agree on that love may be one if not the strongest emotion. I guess you can say that it is the difference between an emotion centred around oneself and an emotion directed towards others. But that’s just my opinion.
@@getsugatensho7465 It has been extensively proven that fear is the single most powerful emotion humans (and many animals) can experience. And the reason is because it has helped us survive back in the cavemen's period.
@@icarus9097 I don’t agree. Fear IS strong but the single strongest, no, surely not. It helped us survive in cavemen’s period but fear prevents people from moving on, it binds them in place. Fear is basically an instinct of survival. It is directed at oneself, a form of narcissism. An emotion that only serves to protect oneself and can and will lead others to ruin once confronted with them. On the other hand, love is directed towards others (not talking about narcissism). Love can both bind someone and help them improve. Love is not bind by any instinct of any form. An emotion directed towards others. Opposed to fear who brings nothing good when confronted with others, love can unite people and can lead people to do stupid things opposed to common sense, morals or duty. As I said, it’s a battle between an emotion focused on oneself, and an emotion focused on others. The SINGLE strongest, no. ONE of the strongest, yes.
The first time I watched this scene I legit didn't understand a flying fuck about it. Nor I did the second, third or even the tenth time. It was when I finally matured myself that I understood where she was coming from. And that made me mature a bit more. Watching anime has made me learn a lot, but this was one of the few times I had to use "real life" knowledge to get it. That's probably the reason why SnS is still one of my favorite anime.
Agree but that scene when Yohan finally showed up and talked to Yuji was unforgettable, imo. Yohan's words really hits hard that Yuji only realize it all in the end of the series after Shana told him "It's all right" and again confessed her love for him (which is the bestest scene in the entire series 💖)
pretty much she was torn between her duty as a flame haze and her love as a girl but now she stands before him with resolve and as one person, but if Snake of Festival takes over completely she will sacrifice herself to destroy them all without a second thought
Ya,but one thing, she said "it's not that I dont wanna kill you but I wont kill you" , so that means she want to kill you???, If she says "it's not that I cant kill you but I wont kill you" than it makes sense. how can she say this to yuuji when she just told she loves him??
@@ghaisali5003 that’s slightly not worded right. What she meant was: I am resolved to doing this, Not with a mindset of “I don’t want to kill you.” (I.e. with regret and hesitation, against my will), but instead with the mindset of “I will not kill you.” (I.e. I am going to fight and win this without Any need to kill you. Killing isn’t even on the table). It’s proof of confidence in her path. She knew in that moment that her path was clear. All she lacked before, was the strength to walk it. She found that strength at last, and was ready to walk that path.
@@dmar3651 I.e with regret and hesitation against my will. Against my will What is her will, that she is going against? I.didnt undestand what u put in the first brackets
@@ghaisali5003 By that I simply mean that she doesn't Want to fight and kill him, but she might Have to, in order to protect the world. Her will/desire is to fight Beside him, and not Against him.
so I'm rewatching this again and I was confused why shana voice is so familiar.... then I realized that shana's voice actor is also the voice actor for kiana kaslana QWQ
I don’t like him, Unforgivable beyond reasons evil Reasons you suck speech, traitor scumbag villain, they don’t trust him he choose stay home in mislkai city.
Yuji side cause he is helping both humans and denizens and u should know he loves shana alot it was obvious from season 2 he made a pact crimsonlord to save her the humens and snake wanted too save the denizens (yuji sakai = two worlds 🌎) if u catch the meaning 😉
@@ZephyrBW meh -_- not my problem those flame Hazes are used too killing denizens just for sport same goes for some denizens too there's always bad and good ppl and y know change is not easy he fcking got eaten while minding his own business now thats fcked up in season 1 I felt bad for him alot season 2 margery pissed me off in season 2 in season 3 episode 4 I was happy that bitch got wat she deserved . 😀 to ur topic let those flame hazes hunt something else in the new world they don't need to kill humens for there existence cause xanadu has it in bundle but its gonna be hard for them too adept same goes for the flame hazes
@@izanaginookami5319 but yuji is basically destroying the present to create a future. He said he killed A LOT of innocent person and flame haze. He even sacrificed himself to atone his sin. Ignoring his love for shana. Just so future human, future flame haze, future denizens will live normally without fighting. Don't really like the idea of creating a good future while you, the one who work the hardest, don't experience that happiness
@@reisen9584 true but how would u feel in his shoes if u did all that killed ppl and denizens for the sake off change and a better future cause im sure u would feel the same u did wat u thought was right but now u have blood in ur hands (its his way off atonement by giving up shana until he fixed the mess he made . Good thing our heroine stepped up at the end she just said fck u and let me help u like she said he should have told her everything 1st but she's her opposite god off destruction and snake was betrayed once by flame Hazes it was hard for him too trust another).
@Levi Kazama he Still a Villain, not forgotten, betryal traitor unforgivable , you jerk evil he no Hero. he commuting a taboo "in spite of everything you've done for them, eventually they will hate you." Zeref vs evil Yuji Green Goblin to Evil Yuji snake traitor: But the one thing they love more then a hero or a villain...is to see a hero fail, fall, die trying. In spite of everything you've done for them, eventually, they will hate you." They will cast you out. Yuji brought it upon himself. Blame Yuji evil Lockdown: The trouble with loyality to a cause is that the cause will always betray you"
Still this damn fights of no end to finally say "oh my you were right but we want this one condition" Like come on guys hahaha 😆 😂 🤣 just talk this through hahaha Yuji just dissappeared and then the whole thing was the biggest misunderstanding of all time hahaha 😆 😂 🤣 love it!
@@easiestcc6451 okay i'm gonna watch it,you know why i'm asking? Because i'm tired of weak mc and tsundere girl, it's okay if a girl is tsundere but if mc is op or cool haha i'm tired of idiot mc,i'm tired of laughing,if my eng is kinda trash sorry about that if trash because i'm not eng speaking i'm tagalog speaking
@@loliconking4255 Well its a slow pace anime, focusing mainly on a heroine who is tormented by the conflict in duty and emotion. The mc Yuji is kind of like her obstacle and her goal. yuji does however start off at the very beginning of the food chain, so some frustration will be obvious. Plus romance is more of a sub plot in this anime.
