they were such a beautiful mess of a couple. i adored their passionate yet angsty build up and im forever mad the writers did them dirty! they'll be endgame in my mind idc :') they're soulmates
It wasn't the writers fault though, well not all their fault lol Sarah's contract expired and from what I hear she didn't wanna wait and moved on to the next gig and I understand not wanting to wait and wait but what is their fault is not closing their story and leaving it so unfinished I want sarah to come to the l word generation q to at least have closure ugh the chemistry between these two was insane!!
I NEED them to bring back Carmen and Shane BUT only if they are endgame. Even the small mention of Shane saying she pretty much still loves Carmen after 20 or so years made me have hope. The writers need to stop toying with us and give us back Sharmen. It's what the people want.
Scrappy, we definitely want Carmen back. Shane's wife in GENERATION Q was gorgeous, but Carmen took our breath away. The chemistry between Shane and Carmen was off the hook. Now that Shane has matured, I think she's ready for Carmen. I know we are. Hope someone passes this information on to the L Word writers.
What do you think of the Shane Tess pairing? I don’t see any sexual chemistry between Shane and Tess like the hot hot sexual chemistry of Shane and Carmen. In this reboot I wish they would have kept Shane wife since they couldn’t bring back Sarah as Carmen.

Ramona, Tess is a great actress. When she hits the big screen, she comes through strong. This lady is a gifted actress. However, her and Shane don't have that pure undeniable chemistry. Shane's ex, and Carmen do. Carmen left us with bated breath.
Wow. I grew up with them and the show in general... they helped me understand parts of me I wasn't sure were really mine. Thank you, so much. We all miss Shane and Carmen
It was an awful thing to do,Shane leaving her at the altar. But in such a messed-up Shane way she did it to protect Carmen. I would love for Carmen's mother to run into Shane first in the new series. I want Sharmen endgame all the way.
@@rgmemeworld6506 well I heard that the director of the show did not renewed Carmen contract which played by Sarah Sarah was signed only for two years after that director did not wish to renew her contract. And I believe this something that creator of show will regret because. Of chemistry between Shane and Carmen and the chemistry that ADIUCANCE loved so much.
To leave someone at the altar is just the worst thing to do. I know someone who experienced this for real, 15yrs later the wounds are still there. Messed up stuff... I cried my eyes out when I first saw all this so many years ago. Poor Carmen...
@@rgmemeworld6506 In as short of an answer as I can: Her dad used her childhood traumas to manipulate her into thinking her commitment issues are genetic and not a trauma-response. Basically saying she's gonna end up like him (cheating on his wife) and that she WILL hurt Carmen if she marries her. Shane didn't want that happening and was too emotionally fragile to think straight in that moment. Causing her to ultimately hurt Carmen by leaving her at the altar. It's absolutely tragic the whole thing T3T
i’ve watched this video so many times. thank u so much for making it. sharmen are my all time favorite fictional couple and i used to rewatch s2 and s3 just for them but now i can just come to this video. i swear i watch it at least once a month lol. i just love them together so much. carmen was shane’s one true love.
Oh you should def watch it. It's an important part of lesbian TV history. It has several issues, but it's raw and real in a way that's hard to come by. A show about women made by women, in a time before social media.

ooh this gave me an anxiety attack... no other pairing has ever had this much of an impact on me. maybe it's because I've always seen myself in Shane and to see someone fight for her the way Carmen did gave me hope? but in overall it's still the most captivating relationship story and I will never forgive the writers for ending it that way. I get that it's compatible with Shane's whole arc and it would have a huge meaning for the rest of the series so at this point I kinda wish Sharmen never happened at all you know? Anyway, thank you for this video, it's very well made
Unfortunately Shane was exposed in a broken family that is why she did not believe in a relationship or i would say that she was afraid to be committed. Too bad for carmen🥺 haist

Carmen is the best thing that happened in this project. After so many years, reviewing these seasons now I still can't accept the fact that she was only in two seasons. They were given so little time! Carmen for Shein. Only she suits her. For us, fans of this couple, it's a big loss😭 I've never loved anyone so much in TV shows. The show was empty without her.And I really hope that Sarah will still appear in the continuation of Generation -Q! This desire is very strong🙏 p.s.: in the continuation of the show you can see how Shein is lost. No one suits her, only Carmen. And she's the only one she really love

Carmen was the only true love Shane ever had, she was everything Shane needed and really saw Shane for who she was deep inside....I'm so sad they didn't bring back Carmen in Gen Q and spark their relationship back up. They were the ultimate end game. This made me ball my eyes out 😭

@@milan4ever Shane was the one that proposed and then simply ran , she already cheated b4 so Carmen knew who she was dealing with but still said YES , I’d rather fail then not try at all and live with the “What if” guilt.. Sophie needed attention and Finley was around i wouldn’t say that’s her personal character just a poor lapse in judgement

I wish show time would fire L Word q's show runner and get someone who knows that Carmen needs to be back on the show. The shows ratings are so bad it barely got renewed and only the uptick at the end (via Bette/Tina drama) saved it. BRING BACK CARMEN!!!!!!!!!!
Never a couple broke my heart like Sharmen did. It was devastating after everything we went through all of us were happy that they were going to be married and then BOOM 💥…. Shane killed us all. It still hurts after all these years.
I loved this couple a lot because of the chemistry they had. But, I believe that Shane couldn't continue with the wedding because she knew she wouldn't change her cheating ways. That's just my two cents.
the ending of their story is so sad and it breaks my heart 🥺 they deserve each other i never watch this series but planning to watch it after watching this video. so are they actually not going to be together, if not it would be so sad 😢

it's mostly down to the fact that sarah who played carmen was only contracted for two seasons and when it ran out the show decided not to renew it and wrote her off the show (something I feel like they might regret now considering how beloved her character and relatioship with shane became) but yeah the way their story ended is heartbreaking, still holding out for some reconciliation

@@scrappymitchell insiders say the Latinx writers of Gen Q refused to bring Sara Shahi back because she is of Iranian descent...and they didn't want an Iranian playing the part of a Latina character. Sara Shahi wanted to come back on the show...it's political correctness gone mad.
@@anatille yeah thats what the reason in which sucks because I do totally understand and agree with them going forward with new characters being accurately represented however the thing with sarah/carmen it’s kinda like the damage has already been done. and if I’m not mistaken sarah is half hispanic, half iranian so if I were the writers, since carmen’s dad is dead, I think it would be easily slipped in that her dad side was iranian but she grew up in the latinax household with her mums side 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
