@@tbewin1z143 his opinion on scott hall was crap and biased. I'm not just saying that because scott just passed away. Scott was a B+ on the mic and in the ring. Never really the guy but could go with anybody and could talk well. Personality he had in the ring too. Out of the ring, it seems to depend on who you ask and when they interacted with him.
Except for his Scott Hall grade. That was pure bitterness lol. Scott was a great worker and a great promo, everyone knows that. Also, giving Dreamer an A for workrate is ridiculous lol.
Unbiased? No one in their right mind could call Scott Hall an "F" promo. An "F"-level promo is someone like Dynamite Kid or (more recently) Kalisto. Scott Hall got a lot of catchphrases over and was a great talker. Also, lmao @ giving Tommy Dreamer an "A" for workrate when the guy couldn't have a good match unless it was in the garbage wrestling format (extreme rules).
Mankind was so good at captivating an audience he pulled it off with 4 different characters. I still remember loving he'd get 2/3 chances at the rumble those few years. They dropped the ball not having his last entering win. You could have totally had a heal get heat by saying he didn't earn it and work and angle from that
I wanted to not like Shane Douglas. But he actually comes across as genuine here. Maybe a couple of grades that were questionable, but overall, pretty reasonable and objective.
He is such a cool guy! Just saw him wrestle last week at the Gathering of the Juggalos(Match on my channel). Meet him two years ago at the same place we had a real good convo none wrestling just life stuff travel it was awesome! Signed a bowling pin along with Sabu and the late but most definitely great Super Genie.
I worked a show he was on, talked with him too. Told him how my daughter is a Shriners Kid and wants to be a wrestler. He ask to me her & even got in on a joke we was pulling on her. He gave her words of inspiration and said don't let anybody tell you that you can't.
The Razor idea was solid, and Hall did a great job with it. It just wasn't Shane's cup of tea, and that's fine. He's right though that the promos weren't that great.
@@outis439-A What exactly is your point, you idiot? Scott Hall was a decent talker but his Razor Ramone gimmick was basically an imitation of Al Pacino as Scarface. It was entertaining but I can't think of a single classic Scott Hall promo's. He was not known as a promo guy.
I think HBK is a B on promos at best. He's a great heel but was never all that great as a face. I don't think WWF did him any favors either with that forced face run in 96. I think if you're going to give him a run with belt, don't strip the qualities that made his character entertaining,i.e the asshole ness. Lol.
I think Randy should be a b+ on personality because his fears about the business were warranted even though he came off high strung. Agree with everything else
800th like 👍 😂 You have to admit, if Shane, Raven, and Bret hart all got together they could create the best wrestlers. Bret because he’s the only one left who worked with dynamite, not that I like his style but guys need to at least understand the basics and Bret could do that. Raven can show them how to build a gimmick, a great tool to cover your identity while your learning by. You don’t want to be given a bad name when it’s your shoot name because you can’t change it. Shane can just refine them and tweak the other guys especially Raven? He talks to fast and too constantly for most of his information to have a chance to sink in before he’s rambled onto another topic, someone likes that Colombian marching powder 😂

I would think, love or hate the characters/wrestlers, at this level they're gonna be mostly high grades. You really ain't getting where these guys have been without talent.
Bro gave Scott Hall an "F" for his promos!!! 🤷🏽♂️😲 He must be grading him as strictly Razor Ramon because as Scott Hall The Outsider from NWO his promos were always PHENOMENAL!!! If "Aye Yo!" gets an "F" but Jericho is an "A" for his annoying ass promos I'm speechless
Didnt agree with the michaels rating despite not being a big fan growing up. His promos were weak (compared to other top guys) but his personality as a character was strong. Annoying but strong. I did find his comment about austin needing the conditions to be right interesting. I think there is validity to that argument.
I think the 'Personality' category referred to their real life personality, like how they were in the locker room. When he was talking about Luger for that category, he was talking about how Luger was behind the scenes, not his character's personality.
Something that’s obvious about shoot interviews: you know someone is good when wrestlers try to discount how good they were. People in wrestling only talk bad about others when they weren’t able to overtake them and get over on them in the business or don’t see them as any kind of threat. That’s how this business works lol.
Hmm. I sense some favouritism but hes not far wrong. Michaels has A’s across the board but his personality is an F. Mick Foley is all A+ as with Austin, Lex is right he got it right. Very wrong about Hall though. Who for me is B+, A, A+ and probably a B+ for personality very snakey but at the same time effortlessly cool. Ric Flair did not have much in the work rate his matches where for me god awful. Dreamer and Raven seemed very bias although legends in ECW, shanes home. Sting was awesome. He stood in the rafters for close to a year didnt have to even say much he had it all. A. A. A and A for sting. And if i had to rate shane it would be C, A, A+ and A+ but thats just how i see it all.

I can't speak to his workrate or promos, bc I didn't see much of him, but from what I did see, and the impression I always got from Shane himself, quite frankly, I'd rate his charisma and personality an F-.
He seems like a cool dude in real life, but could never get behind his character. It felt very forced, always cursed in promos and acted over the top everytime. Always cut long promos and what did ''The Franchise'' even mean?
Baha it is a slap at Scott Hall because he came up with the character and the voice not WWE. Vince wanted to make him an army G.I. Joe type character and Hall didn't like the idea so he asked Vince if he ever saw Scarface which Vince had not and then he did the voice which was based off Scarface. So it was ALL Scott Hall and thus it is a slap at Scott and not WWE's "cartoon characters" because again they didn't come up with it. Haha not that I care if he wants to throw jabs at Hall then that's his choice.
Hmm, I think he was pretty harsh on Lex Luger in some ways, but it others he wasn't harsh enough. His workrate may not have been great, but it was surely far better then an F! Not sure exactly what I'd grade him (it's been a very long time since I've watched any Luger matches), but I don't remember him being that bad in the ring. He gave him a B for charisma, which I think is okay, but B- or C+ may have been more accurate. C for promos is too high, and I'd go with probably a D+. They could have been a C, except sometimes he'd botch them pretty bad. Still, you could tell he was trying hard and there are guys worse then him out there. An F for personality is also too harsh, and I'd go with maybe a C- or D+ on that.
Luger... carried the load as the active baby face in WCW in 1997 while Sting was hanging in the rafter, Luger knowing he was not going to get an extended run with the title... he knew that, and yet still worked his ass off. He had moments where he came across as lazy, but an F on workrate is just lazy pandering to the IWC.
But as he said, he was a HORRIBLY condescending, disrespectful prick. Dont know where all that pride came from. He was ugly, and his physique overrated. Dont get me started on his skills. Liked him as a kid. Think he's just a douche as an adult.

Scott Hall is one of my all time favorites but he was never the same after WWF. He was a great worker there. In WCW he was good his first year for obvious reasons but he got lazy as fuck and winged it on the mic. Not his fault cause his contract didn't have him working alot of dates but he never touched the quality of his WrestleMania 10 and SummerSlam matches ever again. And he's right about the promos. Anyone can do a Scarface impersonation and make it sound cool or funny. Compare a Scott Hall promo to a Ric Flair one and he's no where close. When did Razor get to WWF, 1993? From 93 to 97. Thats a very short time span considering his overall body of work. Shane was more than fair.
This guy was a nobody. The Franchise? More like the bust. He amounted to nothing special. ECW you say? Yeah ok big fish (and i'm being generous) in a third fiddle company.

He's a manager at Target which takes a college degree in the management sector not a check out boy from Walmart, has other college degrees, was about to go to medical school while wrestling, and was a substitute teacher showing kids right. Flair is very misinformed about Shane.
