I had lost my family, moved, was coming off a 10yr heroin run and was homeless staying at a shelter in 2015 listening to this song over and over again. I eventually went into a program, I’ve been clean and sober and free from drugs almost 9 years. I was given a second chance in life. By the grace of God. So thankful. This song reminds me of that today.
Brandon Schenderling Thats so true. I sung this new song at church tonight called Hope Will Rise, I think all yall should listen to it. It gave me the shivers.
I was a thief before but when i listened and follow and have a relationship with God my life wasn't ruined anymore God always gave me a blessing thanks to God he listened to my prayers
Ok i really had my problem with god and the world but i seen the movie and im only 13 and my father died of cancer 6 months ago and i knew i didnt want to end up like the teacher in the movie, filled with hate so thanks you ik its just a movie, but it changed my life
Oh Melanie,I'm so sorry to hear what you faced💕 I'm glad you watched the movie and that the Lord spoke to you through it - He so loves you as his daughter💖 x
Melanie_〈3_always here I am 12 and I know what you are going through. My great grandmother checked into heaven not to long ago at the age of 93 on July 13, 2015, not to far from my birthday on July 18, and her funeral was on my birthday. :( Anyways Her name is Betty Jean Linville. She has three sons Bill Linville, Micheal Linville, and Phillip Linville. She is buried next to my great grandpa, Donald Linville. She has 26 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. A lot right? Well anyways, the reason i"m saying she is instead of she was or she had is because she is not dead really she is alive in Christ! We will never die for we shall live for ever in Heaven with God our father, Jesus, and the holy spirit, and we will become one.
I'm at this stage in my life... once again. :( Where I'm cold, when I'm lost, when I no longer feel the fire. :( My demons are trying to steal what I know. Please Lord guide me! Send your Angels to protect me. :(
Deuteronomy 31: 6 Be strong and courageous; fear not, nor be dismayed in their sight: for the Lord your God is he that goes with you; he will not leave you nor forsake you
This song influenced me to tell more people about the Lord. When I first heard this song on the radio, I exploded into tears. The meaning of this song is that if your life is going through tough times, Christ the Redeemer is always there no matter what. Never ever reject Jesus because he is going to hold you up.
Very proud of you Shane Harper. Me and my family heard of your movie "God's Not Dead" from a workout instructor. It is a Christian atmosphere environment and is not your typical Fitness Center. The moment she mentioned your movie, I knew it was some worth viewing, however I didn't know you were in it. My son recognized your name and told me and my husband and I was excited. I knew there was something unique about you and this just confirmed something I was hoping to know: That you have a relationship with Jesus. WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!!! We are certain God is too most of all. Continue to use the talents he blessed you with for his glory. We love you and will continue to pray for you as God protect, lead and guide you in his purpose for your life. Enjoy God's life journey. Congrats, and we look forward to hearing more great things from you. P.SWhen does the CD come out? we heard this song original about a month with no regulation it was you. GO FIGURE !
OH MY GOSH I LOVE THIS SONG SINCE I HEARD IT ON GOD'S NOT DEAD MOVIE I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT IT TILL I HEARD IT ON THE MOVIE BTW THE MOVIE ITS AWESOME I HAVE IT BECAUSE MY SIS WORKS IN THE CHRISTIAN FAMILY STORE AND WE PREORDER IT AND WE HAVE IT AND ON WEDNSDAY LAST TIME WE SHARED IT WITH OUR GROUP YOUTH THEY LOVE IT EVERYONE WAS SOO QUIET AND DIDN'T MOVED BECAUSE IT WAS AWESOME!!!!:) GOD'S NOT DEAD HIS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!
I just drove home and heard this song on the radio and started crying so hard. It’s been a while since I’ve cried that hard because I’m always holding it in trying to be tough. The truth is all I feel is depressed and that I won’t amount to anything, always feeling discouraged. But I know I’m not alone and I have Father God to help me get through it all no matter how hard it gets. I can’t lose faith now because I’ve come this far.
Update: Things have been better although I don’t have much of a relationship with my father due to a mistake I made. Which saddens me deeply and I’ll always regret. I’m just trying to take things one day at a time. I seriously need to get closer to God. I still feel so lost. I feel so unworthy because my father, a Christian man, who I thought to be someone that would love me unconditionally, basically disowned me. Makes me feel unworthy of getting closer to God even though I know God’s love is unconditional.
Yeah, know what you mean of the good ol days with friends....but they did not really want to hear about Jesus. Hopefully your still with Jesus, even though ol friends may be long gone by now...well you know what I mean by still wuth Jesus, that you believe in Him as the Saviour. Time is running so short and looks like our generation is headed towards some heavy trials, while God knows the clock clicking is surely running out according to His Word. Have you ever heard of the youtube channel generation2434...if not, I would like to recommend listening and being blessed as in these times we surely need good news, the Good News of Christ. 💜
He is so talented, and this is one of my absolutely favorite songs from him. I loved his performance in God's Not Dead, and I enjoy his new show Happyland. He's got a great voice, and he's definitely a person of God. He's not only cute, but also spiritual, which makes him a total catch!
God is the best father you could ever have I feel like he's like water you need him and God always listens to your prayers even though you think theyre like whispers but if anyone is going through something like the dad of the teacher said in gods not dead "the teacher is always silent during the test"
Love this song it has changed so much of my life and it has helped me realize who I am and what I need to do to become closer to God and to become a follower in Christ and I'm only 12. So I'm thanking you with all of my heart for making this song and also making a difference in the world
Love the movie, you can tell that it doesn't get that much credit because lets face it.. The initial point of the movie isn't to get rewarded, but is a key reminder of why we still have hope in the most toughest of times. Everyone says this and that about the movie, and yeah, its just a movie, but the critics who call the movie "poor" or "terrible" have to know, we didn't ask to give your time to watch the movie, you chose to watch the movie yourself, and he/she who watches the movie just to criticize the christian faith, or looking for an answer to their questions on God''s existence; it doesn't take two hours worth of film to answer. It takes a life time of dedication and commitment, just as it is when you meet your "true love"; you have to be committed and dedicate your time to the relationship for it to work. That is why it's so easy to not believe, and hence why there are now so many turning there backs away from the most highest. Christ said himself that it was going to be hard, and the devil will try and penetrate your mind into thinking it is not true, and that's what sets us apart from other religions, we walk by faith, not by sight, Its all about the choice you make, everyone is born with morals and ethics, whether to do good or bad, and no one is gonna judge you, but the choices you make reflect on the person you turn out to be, at the end of the day, everyone wants to do good and be a good person right? But why? Why can't bad be good? Why does guilt feel bad? And why can't you kill a person and feel good? Because each and everyone of us is born with a clear and innocent conscience, we know to do good or bad, and what to change in order to do good, but why? No matter how bad you get, there is still a voice which tells you to do good right? Your not born with bad values, your born a sinner, you slowly know to do good and bad, why? Isn't that what Christ meant by it's not going to be easy? I bet many are gonna wonder, "is it possible to not be a christian and still be a good person?", the answer; than who provides you with the knowledge knowing good and bad? Who makes that person good? In comparison, "is it possible to not be a christian and be a bad person?" But if you are a bad person, why do you still do good things? You are born freely, but its the influence by the devil which makes it bad, its easy to do bad, but not good right? no one wants to do bad, its their choice which makes it bad; that is the problem today, when you question, the answer will be, "if God didn't exist, than why couldn't we be born without knowledge and righteousness", has anyone ever proven that someone can be born bad? Can science prove that matter or atoms formed our knowledge of good or bad, or even morals? No, they fail to prove the existence of their theory of evolution or "The big bang theory" because of these questions, if they were to build robots, what is programmed within? To be a good or bad robot right? Why? And for what purpose? The christian faith is the most renowned religion of the world, however, why is it the ONLY religion that gets the blame when the topic "GOD" comes up? Why is always, Christianity vs Atheist,, Muslim etc.. All we are asking is for you to believe or not to believe, plain simple. If you choose not to believe, that's not our place to judge, why? Because we know that it is your choice but then question in your mind, "Why are there so many believers?", and "Why are there so many turning away?" As mentioned before, it takes commitment and Dedication, he/she who lasts, will forever last, we are all warned that it won't be easy, but if it's not easy, than why are there so many? Because it's what draws them towards the truth of life, someone doesn't just go in blinded, like stated before, we walk by faith and not sight, if someone asks, "do you believe in the Bible?", the answer will be, "No, I believe in God who created the bible". Someone will ask, "But we can live a good life without the bible?" But where does goodness come from, everything you say, do and think is from the bible. Think about it, the only thing the bible teaches is to encourage people to be a good person and treat each other fairly, but isn't that what everyone is trying to do? And be compassionate about doing good deeds and not bad? Isn't that what everything is based on? And why do we like doing good things? Because it feels good right? Isn't that what God teaches us? Not to commit adultery, Murder, theft etc.. because when we do these things, we are called a "bad person" right?. Another question will be, "what about other religions trying to counter the same argument?" the answer, yes they are, they are spreading the same word on love and loving one another; but why is Christianity the most influential religion? Why is it that people can be converted into Christianity but not any other religion at a fast pace? Is it one's spirituality? If someone argues on Muslim, Buddhism etc.. Why do people not get a spiritual feeling about converting into one of those religions? Why is the of Christians growing and the number of people leaving so great? One explanation, "It is easy to accept, but hard to follow", the biggest question that the devil hates, is when you ask yourself about who you really are, unshaped by society or untouchable by someone else, people who convert into believers of Christ don't just convert because of someone else, it's there choice right? So here is a question, "Why is Christianity not NOT the renowned religion?" "Would I be arguing at the same purpose if we weren't the renowned religion?" Yes, I still would, but why aren't we gone? Why is Christianity not the broken religion? Why is it not a minority religion? Because the people who do not believe, give Christians a reason to answer, and pay the most attention to Christianity. If Christianity was a minority religion, everything would still be the same because of REASON, EVIDENCE and BELIEF, it is by choice that people are Christians, yet, we have seen proof of what the bible states and the things that the Lord had created and prophesied about; people hate it when things add up against there opinions, look around you and compare what Christians teach and things that exists, the prophecies, not only that, but the people who give up, and the challengers you face in life.. EVERYTHING all adds up to one thing, GOD. Ask yourself these questions, "Who really am I?" "Why am I here?" "Why am I who I am, and not someone else?" "Why do I do good and not bad?" "Why do I feel bad when doing bad and not good?"... Many will answer, "I don't know" or "Why does it matter?".. If you don't know who you really are, then isn't it your job to find out? Mankind will never accept Christianity as a whole because it speaks too much truth, how do I know? Because the very world that we are living in now is the world that is professed in the Bible. It takes a lot of courage to accept Christianity as it is, because the word of man speaks of a thousand tongues, but the word itself is spoken by ONE! #Gearup #WaronReligion #StayBlessed #Godbless
+Sam Stirling I'm getting baptized soon, and I'm beginning to realize just how dangerous it is, how serious it is. Do any of you realize how serious baptism is? How big of a decision it is? Getting baptized as a kid is not use. If you don't recognize God as your savior, there is no point. That is why baptizing babies is so wrong. They don't know God, they don't understand. That is why you should accept God into your heart and then make it public with baptism. The first people who realized that baptism was a great deal and got baptized were DROWNED. They were persecuted! So know the the dangers, the dangers of baptism whether it is personally or publicly. Realize what risk those people took and just how serious they thought about it. We should feel the same way. Pray to God, ask him, am I ready? Am I not, because if you aren't there is no point, you are just taking a little swim a a tiny pool of water. Ask, yourself, are you ready to pledge yourself to God, to never turn back from him, to NEVER deny him. Think about it, and start you journey today, tomorrow, or whenever the timing is right, somehow you'll know. And when nobody stands, stand on your own.
Benny Tong I appreciate your concern on this matter. But what has that got anything to do with what I said? I'm kind of confused on your argument, great info, but kinda lost on where you stand?
Shane Harper - Hold You Up Lyric When it's coming apart, you had it all. It wasn't enough. No, it's not enough. They tell you it's not worth the price, so just let it go. But you know you can't. You know you won't. It's not easy, no. Finding the words to say. When you're feeling lost, you'll find your way. The world is so broken and sometimes it leaves you cold. And at times you can't feel the fire to guide you home. The demons will haunt you and try to steal what you know. But the angels, they brought you, and they're gonna hold you up. They're gonna hold you up. They see the fear in your eyes, heart sinks like a stone. 'Cause when you're afraid, it weighs on your soul. They're gonna hold you up. They're gonna hold you up. They're gonna hold you up. They're gonna hold you up. When the timing is right, somehow you'll know. When nobody stands, stand on your own.
If any of you are interested he is actually is a christain. If you look up "is shane harper a Christian" an interview comes up with him and some guy named John. He actually had to write this song for the movie God's Not Dead. I love this song and it is inspirational.
7 years ago.....yet I had to come back. I've spend my whole life running away from God. I think it's about time I start running BACK to him. Shane Harper...... Thankyou.
