Shane is not actually a demon (or a psycho), he's just such a supernatural skeptic that he doesn't believe in demons and is therefore not afraid to "taunt" them. And that led to the Buzzfeed unsolved fandom joking that Shane actually intimidates demons, so he must be some more powerful demon himself.
