I am generally very against firing based off a bad performance but... this was just sad. It's like he made absolutely no adjustments from last week when everyone KNEW they were going to run the ball a ton.
Name one guy beside buckner that can play at a high level bring a guy in that couldn't coach for 32 teams will definitely turn it around 🤔 what name brand coach would want to put their name on the line for this team of scrubs
Also Anthony Richardson throwing 34 times in a game where the other team scored 16 is insane… Jonathan Taylor with 12 carries for 102 yards is crazy, why didn’t we run the ball more..
Yes but also most of jts yard came in second half where we were playing catch up and they were refusing to give up the deep pass. Had a hard time running first half
we tried running ---- kept getting stuffed, anyone not named Jonathan Taylor is not the answer on this team (being cheap and not keeping Zach Moss was a total mistake, another one of a long list for Ballard (and we had the money to pay him)) Ballard squeaks when he walks.

I really don't know why we bother with these coach press conferences. They literally say nothing but "we gotta get it fixed" and "we gotta get that cleaned up" ZERO honesty. I sure would like to hear Steichen say "that was unacceptable!" or call the team out for once.
Apparently behind closed doors he's ticked. He also deserves some blame, but that defense in the first half was just embarrassing, and Alec looks like the only WR that even cares.
With a backup QB at the helm, no less! It's downright embarrassing, our run defense is being hailed as the NFL's Weakest Link. And I had such high hopes for this season; what a bummer!

You know what angers me about our defensive players? It's that no one runs to the ball carrier to make the tackle. They wait for the ball carrier to come to them. Zaire created that fumble on the goaline, but hasnt brought the same energy has he's done in the past. This dude got paid and now is just on cruise control.
@lordyung1164 I thought the same thing, specifically the 3rd and 2 and he calls a pitch option. Definitely a frank type of call, constantly outsmarting himself, and conservative at the wrong times

Tough loss today but I'm sure coach Steichen will rally the troops and have the guys ready to play and win next game. Just got a few loose ends to tie up.
The entire affair was honestly just pathetic. 0 energy, 0 drive. It's like the Colts walked in expecting to lose. 0 pre game adjustments to help run defense when we KNEW they were going to run like crazy. 0 sacks on a QB who has one of the highest pressure to sack percentages in NFL history. I can absolutely understand AR making some mistakes, but the collapse of the entire rest of the team is inexcusable.
I want to hear from Gus, I just want to know the thought process for letting them run the ball for the first 20 minutes when you know they have a backup Qb. They eventually went to that 5 man front that slowed them down a lot better why not start with that a few longer 3rd down at the beginning before Willis got comfortable i think the game would have been different, offense had its own troubles but the puzzle didn’t seem that hard to figure out for the defense. Overall it was just confusing to watch especially when you eventually saw they had an answer it just took way to long to start using it after you are down by multiple scores.
Sorry but this guy aint the coach either. His over aggressive nature constantly puts this team in bad spots. Playcalling was bad and his valuation of richardson over stroud was this franchises undoing
I hate the whole firing thing… nobody is getting fired 2 games in. You aren’t fixing a problem by creating another one. These flat starts are a player problem, we had it with Reich too, that falls on the building of the team. Personally I’m sick of this same song and dance every year since Ballard has been the GM.
The Colts had the worse run defense in the league last game. They stopped the run really well the second half when adjustments were made. Everyone KNEW going into this game that they were going to run the ball a ton. So WHY didn't Gus make those second half adjustments prior to the second half??? Gus is just way too slow to adapt. I can understand all of the other issues, but having the worst run defense in the league two weeks in a row is just straight ineptitude.
I think the run defense will sort itself out. We have too much talent up front for it not too. Unless the injuries keep piling up. The secondary though, the linebackers outside of Franklin who is just slightly above average in terms of the league, yeah those positions, we are going to get torched all year. Leonard’s unfortunate demise coupled with no urgency to replace him was a massive oversight.

I hate these press conferences, WHATS THE POINT OF THEM. Everybody just repeats the same thing the over and over. BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL LOOKED TERRIBLE. JT only touched the ball 12 times.. Our defense of line is allowing to many rush yards close to 600 yards in 2 games is unacceptable back to back? They’re only rushing with 4 d- linemen and we’re being gashed in the middle, That’s a coaching problem Gus Bradley is on the hot seat he’s the problem!! 2/3 of time of possession 2 weeks in a row is unacceptable. If our defense gets carved like this again next week Gus Bradley should be booted out. To much talent on that D-line to be this bad!! I mean horrible run stop.. Beyond horrible run stop the worse in the league run stop this far!! Bradley you’re not doing your job. If you’re not gonna do your job step down. Let’s give it to someone that can.. This defensive scheme makes it so easy on mediocre QBs to have their best performance. Now we can’t stop the run. We need to overhaul the scheme and get rid of Gus. The offensive play calls and decisions have been head scratching and that’s on Shane.
We spent most of the recent drafts on offense side. How can we expect we will have a good defense? Our d line is OK, but other positions are below average

After watching 2 games, Zaire is getting sealed off every play, no dawg in him. Gotta have a field general in the middle if your gonna compete in this league.

Honestly it has to be the coaching offensively we got players. Everyone saying AR needs time and he’s a project but how long until the project is finished 2-3 seasons by then will have wasted the best years of our best players

Both sides of the ball looked awful. The offense had no creative schemes and last game vs Houston was lucky it was even close. Lets lob the ball and 50/50 hope its caught. Mitchell showed his true brick hands as well given the few looks he had

although we didn’t play very well as a team, alec pierce man he is so good with a good QB and JT really did well and holding them to only 10-16 after a disastrous first half is not the worst i do think richardson needs to be more careful where he is throwing but overall not that disappointing for how we started. we will come back FOR THE SHOE💙

Same things continue to plague this team. Slow starts to games and the season. Defense not good. Offense looks decent one game and the next can’t score points. I think we have become a perennial bad team that may never be good again. Think Browns, Jets, Chicago, etc. Get used to it, because I don’t see it turning around anytime soon.
Ballard has got to go. He out smarts himself more than anyone else. Last year, he didn't want to do much for WR/DB pick-ups, and this year, with his first pick in the draft, he picked up someone you had to research to find out who he is and still did nothing for DB/CB SMH
