I agree. Shane is an amazing player. Just watching him has improved my game, but even more when I began watching Albin, who I call Houdini, because we all know someone else is known as the magician. So naturally I wanted to see some matches between the two and I have found 2 so far. There are probably even more out there but if you search on you tube shane vs albin, they're out there. Enjoy!
Go watch the latest Marconi Cup. But yeah, he is really spectacular and consistent. Arguably possibly the best player playing right now. I've heard Danny DiLiberto say that, and he's seen a LOT of players over his many years. All the way back to the Crane's and company, probably earlier. And played many, or more likely, most of them. Shane surely has played amazingly in some past Marconis.
Alex has an advantage sneaking under the radar. To do it in an aircraft you have to fly very low to the ground, at least for ground based radar. How brutal is it to be up 2-0 and loose 11-2, especially with that final miscue. I HATE those rail shots, especially if you are trying to put sides pin on them, what little you can get. You could tell by the cue reaction that that wasn't even close to sticking on the ball.
valiant effort from Johann, but you can see the difference in experience. They should seek out or go on the road with Efren and Django like what Biado did. Johann, Raga and Aranas are very good at shot making but still lacking ball control, kicking and safety play. Basically mental game.
I just saw this comment and was curious because Chua played pinpoint position and won frames 1 and 2. Then gives Shane a chance and Shane messes up position on rack 3. Lol

In some of the amateur league tournaments they disallow the use of headphones, but I think that's mainly because amateur players could gain an advantage if they had someone giving them position/ strategy advice during play. In pro/ am tournaments I wouldn't think that would be an issue.
You said it was a big break from Shane except no one saw the break because your attention and the camera was on another table. Are you commentating on all the tables in the room or just on this one? It would be so much better to stay on one table, the one between Johann and Shane. For instance, I don't think anyone cares about what's happening on table 22. We're all watching this table.
Who cares about Appleton and Jiaqing? If I wanted to watch them I would have searched for them.. The commentators need to stay on the match we all are watching.
When Shane broke at the score of 2-6 watch the 3-ball move backwards an inch or two as it ran into the rack template rather than move closer to the 9-ball possibly making a dead-in shot for the 9. Is this legal or even wanted for a 9-ball game just to have a template to sit on the table for constructing a better rack rather than the traditional triangle.
