Bulletproof Monk 2 is a 2021 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics featuring the character Shang-Chi. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the 25th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, from a screenplay he wrote with Dave Callaham and Andrew Lanham, and stars Simu Liu as the Bulletproof Monk alongside Awkwafina, Meng'er Zhang, Fala Chen, Florian Munteanu, Benedict Wong, Michelle Yeoh, Ben Kingsley, and Tony Leung.
In the film, Bulletproof Monk is forced to confront his past when his father Wenwu (Leung), the leader of the Ten Rings organization, draws the Monk and his sister Xialing (Zhang) into a search for a mythical village.
In other words.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is another lame, boring, generic, CGI-fueled Marvel flick.

One thing I'll give this movie props for, the fight scene in the bus. That was pretty cool. It was also a Big Ben bus (what we call them in Chicago) to pull off a fight like that in such a cramped space was pretty cool. But that's it, the rest of it was mid.

Yes they are,even tought I liked the movies that he did rant on Punisher War Zone for example,I liked that movie At same time I’m not gonna say PWZ is better than Dolph’s Punisher or even Thomas Jane’s Punisher,but still I enjoyed PWZ

I know it might not bother you so much as CG but wirework also takes me out of the experience. Wire work to me is almost as annoying as CG.

Off topic...but Venom 2 Let There Be Carnage, how can you have "Carnage" when the film's violence is watered down to a PG-13 rating ? Its possible the sequel could blow even worse than the original.

I didn't mind this one Matt, but to each their own. I agree, I did like it better than Black Widow. Also yeah, Searching was a really underrated movie.

Hulk and his villains have a way bigger role in EMH too and the fantastic 4, x men and spider man are all involved and written well Show really aged well to me

Before I saw the thumbnail I thought they actually did make a Bulletproof Monk 2 and I hadn't heard of it. If they did make a sequel to Bulletproof Monk it honestly wouldn't surprise me since Bulletproof 2, Kindergarten Cop 2 and Jingle all the Way 2 are all sequels that exist.

I know that the title of this video was meant as a joke, but I think you should have put the actual name of this movie. A lot of people might get confuse and not realize that this is a review for Shang Chi and not click on the video.

If they can't get the joke, then that's on them...it's an obvious joke. The Poster is clearly Shang Chi (the actor, the villain, the 10 rings, etc).

I've been watching avengers EMH and I realized that the MCU stole so many ideas from that show. The scene from avengers endgame where they are in the red and white suits was taken straight from that show. It really makes the MCU look a lot worse when you realize that the cartoons handled all of these storylines better. Ms marvel is actually a likable character in the show too.

Stephen Chow’s Kung Fu Hustle (2004) is another superhero comic style movie as far as I’m concerned featuring an Asian lead and director.

wow sounds like they did Edward Norton dirty giving him the middle finger because of his feud with MARVEL about creative differences. So first you limit and shackle him from creating the movie he wanted to in the film he got to star in then you do this to his film. If it wasn't for MARVEL being assholes Ed still would of been Bruce/The Hulk instead of Mark Rofolo. That's real fucked up marvel and I liked Edward way more than Mark in the role. Now this film it's like kicking Ed in the nuts and laughing at him.

i also slightly disagree that thanos was not evil, they tried to paint him out to be misunderstood that he tried to solve the issue of overpopulation and sadly some fans have fallen for that, him wiping out half the population felt counterproductive to me cause it says A.he actually didnt care about life in the universe, he felt like one of those lets kill 100 people to save a million kind of villian, and B.it never dawned on anyone that procreation was still athing and just make up for all the people lost during the snap, had thanos stopped procreation with the gauntlet all life would be on a road to extinction so its still evil. I loved thanos but some fans and the movies made him out to be some misundertood guy and I dont buy it. He was indeed evil and I think even said he enjoyed hurting people in infinity war.

Mortal Kombat (1995) pisses all over this movie. Robin Shou as Liu Kang is a better lead than Simu Liu. Linden Ashby as Johnny Cage was funnier than Awkwafina. Also, the movie did the blend of Martial Arts and Fantasy over 9,000x better. That movie was also a success and loved by fans, and while it's based on a video game and not a comic book, it still counts to me. I'll definitely take that movie over Shang-Chi any day.

I thought Shang Chi was ok and so forth but it could have used a better writing than what it actually got. Nowadays, movies are just badly written. For gods sake. Ben Kingsley in a Marvel movie? Honestly. I didnt know he was in it. And hes included like a Liverpudlian comic relief. 😂 😂

To lay a correction out there the movie is actually called Shang Chi & not at all a Bulletproof monk sequel.i don't who or how it wound up being passed off as Bulletproof monk 2.But if you look the movie up anywhere on Google or see the real poster,clearly the title is Shang Chi.

6:46 I forgot about that, you're right lol wtf. Mediocre is the best way to describe this movie. 13:38 LOL. There's a hell lot more better martial arts films like you mention that are miles more exciting, entertaining. I don't get the 8.0 on IMDb. I can't figure out what was exciting about this movie to warrant that high of a rating. What ground did it break? I wonder are fans willing to overrate this because they want to keep whatever is left of the MARVEL-verse afloat, like as long as we get something MARVEL and we get our few easter eggs that's fine. That's all we need. I see that rating going down & down as more time goes on. If folks liked it to each their own but this film was uninspired, dull and meaningless. Great job with rant/review.
