Umm how do u think we bring people into drag culture him? This right here. Someone has to step out in front and take the knocks. The weird looks. The shade. The shit talking. This is how u tear down barriers. Pull down that glass ceiling. Etc. I don't think u read the looks right though. These are all very artsy fartsy people. I think the looks is bc the artist that actually wrote these songs for the movie was lost. And that was sad. They weren't really recognized bc of this gimmick.

I've been thinking for a while that Shangela must have a great agent and/or great connections and/or is a real professional to work with, because she pops up all over the place. Maybe she just works her arse off and doesn't bring all the attitude that some of the other girls seem to have? I dunno what it is, but really happy for her. I mean, why her in 'A Star is Born' over a bunch of others with similar on-camera experience? Either way, good for her. Not that into drag, but enjoyed watching a bit of RuPaul's Drag Race with some of the fun characters they had~♡

Love to hear the studio version of this track. Shangela did great considering its quite hard to sing live and do a full dance routine and eat as well! Sounds like her backup and live vocals weren't blended properly as her mic levels were too high. Some fun jokes in there, clearly the audience hadn't watched all of the shows and didn't get the jokes! But at least I've now got confirmation that the Eighth grade is indeed the one between seven and nine...
