The park is very clean and impressive. They limit the amount of tickets they sell each day to prevent overcrowding so plan ahead and buy your tickets online before visiting. The park is huge so wear comfortable walking shoes. I ticket for Saturday, Sunday or a holiday runs at 500 RMB while a ticket for a weekday is 350 RMB. In USD that is 75 dollars for a peak day and 52.50 for a non-peak day making it the cheapest Disney park. It is the very last stop on line 11 on the metro (subway) in Shanghai so you can easily visit from anywhere you stay in the city. Have Fun!
"oh i think ive got the wrong shoes on.." couldn't he think of anything else to say? It's only a 6 minuet segment for supposedly the best disney park in the world, theres soooo much else they could talk about. He's like my dad when he's trying to act like a kid again and be funny when he isnt.
Great idea! Except Mulan is so culturally and historically inaccurate that it would probably end up offending Chinese people rather than attracting them to the park.
In case anyone has asked the same question: did a little research on how the parks handle portrayals of princesses...Yes, they 'import' white chicks to play the part. Local park goers understand that the princesses, given their origins cannot speak Mandarin / languages other than english; although the actresses are taught some words. Some princesses are accompanied by translators, too. Intetesting, no?
@@Lil_Angry_Bitch That would be one hell of a job. (An awesome job.) To just fly to a different country just to play character at a world renown theme park. 🔥
I went here in May this year 2017. It's very beautiful and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I have photosensitive epilepsy so I can't go on most rides. Anything with flashing lights. I was disappointed there were no characters around when I was there. I imagined they would be walking around and we could meet them and take photos but there were none. The food was also extremely disappointing. It was the same thing served in every place just with a different setting. I'm a vegetarian so I had no option but a dried out chocolate brownie.
Hey! Another vegetarian here and Shanghai disney has a ton of options for vegetarians! If you use the Shanghai disney app you can see which restaurants at the park have veggie options and a ton of them do :)
Shanghai Disneyland was developed differently from what people knew about Disney parks - to do away with its "American-ness". Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland were the prime examples that Walt Disney' "Disneyland" is not that exportable anywhere.
2017 report: Prepare to constantly defend your place in line. Not enough places to sit or rest especially during hot days. Some cast members can be a tad bit shouty but not rude. Rides are great especially Tron and PotC. Food is....it's edible. After the fireworks at night, the place turns into a garbage can though. Pooping and pissing kids out in the open were not present probably because of the insane heat when I went.
I went there last year and it was so awesome that i never wanna return from there but if i go to China again I ll definitely go there again, best ride was The Pirates of the Caribbean
One cool thing to note, if you stay on Disney property (Toy Story Hotel or the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel), there's a second entrance that you can use to enter the park to avoid the large crowds in the main gate! Annnnnd, it's the closest entrance to get to the TRON ride! I posted a video about the park on my channel!
Exactly walt Disney world added more parks an tron coaster being build also ,with star wars land , toys story land ,and a nother harry potter lunch coaster . Walt Disney world winning 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Disney world in Florida still the best one! Just the pirates of the Caribbean ride is better than the one in Orlando, out of that only one everything else is way better at Disney Florida America!! Cheers from Germany!
I do have to say at the moment this is Disney’s best magic kingdom! I made a video rating all the Disney parks and after a lot of thought the park is better than I first thought it’d be!
I think they make Mulan characters as the "centrepiece show" of Shanghai's Disneyland, especially at the "Wondering Moon Teahouse" 5:18 - 5:23. At least they're promoting something Chinese.
Very impressive Disney park!! BUT in general lines, as a conclusion about the Shanghai park, is that you can not find even one classic "cartoon" animated attraction. All of the attractions are from the "live-actors-movies" and not from animated ones. I don't know if this is a good or a bad thing.
How about making a Disney them park down under? It's much easier to get to Asia yes but for us we speak and understand English so we would like to enjoy the Disney magic here too and not to feel left out on things again like with most pop culture related things.
