and nobody talks about the man at 0:30 that just clipped into the van like it ALWAYS DOES when you play this mission. EA never fixed that glitch for stupid reasons.
BF4 campaign is just filled with these blatantly obvious bugs. My favorite is the one where you have to swim underwater in the carrier but you can only barely swim faster than the current so it would take forever to complete the section. It's probably not an exaggeration that Dice made the single player in one sitting while completely exhausted or hungover and then never looked at it again
how did we go from this to 2042. The reason why people like this game is because its true down to earth, dark setting and actually portrays a ww3 environment. 2042's plans where great, the execution was just horrible.
Exactly! BF3 and BF4 are such dark games. For example in BF3 you defend a tank for your life and then this character gets executed. Or what I really like is when in BF3 a grenade explodes you lose your hearing. Battlefield 1 is also a good game, but the things are more epic than dramatic. Which isn't a bad thing.
@@starmg0076 yep I agree. The reason why people love and play battlefield games are because they are very realistic and portray and surreal war environment which is true to life. That what’s makes it fun. When they designed 2042, they tried to hard on trying to reinvent the wheel which was already working. It’s main core features of a battlefield game includes destruction, size, maps and realism. If I made 2042, I would of made it just as dark as btf 4 and 1. I would make it like battlefield 1 campaign and take the war adventure all around the world in the 2042 era to different wars over different reasons. For e.g- Germany is fighting Russia for gas, america is fighting over oil with another country. Hunger in other countries have made other countries fight against eachother. You could easily bring fictional war stories into these chapters and do it like battlefield 1 and V campaign. Multiplayer should of focused on better quality maps that actually look like a warzone. More dirty looking soldiers and armies like Germany, Australia, Canada, United Kingdom. I would then add mid round gunships or special vehicles like in battlefield one to help the loosing team when it passes 500 tickets out of 1000. I would then add a commander mode like in battle field V to give options for smoke/artillery borage. You can search this up and get what I mean. They have so much money and help from the community and they still stuff up the perfect formula on what makes us love a battlefield game. I hope this wasn’t too long.
@@nikozz1585 Very realistic? Uhm, no battlefield was never very realistic. It is more realistic, than Call of Duty, but that is not setting a high bar. If you want something close to realistic (although I wouldn't call these truly 100% realistic either) try Arma or Squad.
@@clone3_7 arma games are completely different. They allow more freedom and are much more realistic in terms of operations and gameplay. What makes battlefield realistic is graphics, music, tone and ebrything to do with its setting and dynamics. Battlefield 1, 3 and 4 is a great example because the clouds are dark and the overall tone is far more realistic compared to 2042 which looks like fortnite.
Childhood nostalgia It’s been 9 years since I first played this Still playing multiplayer till this day, no battlefield (online) has been able to outlive this one.
Everytime its raining during the night I feel like Im in this mission, or when its very windy with rain I feel like in the mission when you're on the bridge falling into water, I hope I will never lose this feeling, the nostalgia is too good
the campaign had its scuffed moments but overall they did really well with it in my opinion, the man being ran over at the start too is funny considering how easily they could have fixed it
I loved the campaign. It also holds That bug was a later addition ironically. Wasn't in the game during launch and I believe there were reports of others civilians doing it to a few other players.
Not to be cynical, but that's a pretty bad sign if a bug is played so early into the game. Anyway seems they put most effort into multiplayer and that's a good thing.
@@mvhdluqmxn9858 yeah but what was bad was I was getting all immersed in it, and it broke my brain for a second,"he just ran him over!....wait a second..."
because covid is american bio weapons false flag operation , its clearly the plan is to destroy chinese economy , this game is just hidden message ,kinda crazy many people dont realize that
Battlefield 4 takes place in 2020 and twenty something I believe. It also has the destruction of the Arecibo dish 9 years before it happened and later portrayed the events that led to Battlefield 2142.
@@--novus-ordo-secrolum-un--8820 they actually made a game called bf 2142 the final stand dlc was an hommage to it, with the railgun and hovertanks and everything
@@Yangpeiling-de-zhangfu ah yes Chinese officials trying to show poeple that china is love and best when in reality you can’t make jokes about your president and Winnie the Pooh
@@Chuked You cant edit them though. The next battlefield campaign should be as some sort of recon & sniper team. Where there’s two sniper squads, and two assault/infiltration squads. Then they create an open world environment with lots of bases, substations, towns, border control points, checkpoints and woodland areas. Basically copy that vibe you get from that cod mission “All Ghilled up”. Then make it to where you can play as any member on the team and full weapon and gadget customization. Anyone remember that Medal of Honor mission in Afghanistan where you place a tracker on a truck? Things like that too. But no linear script, you plan it out.
@@terminal.man02 stranger things was inspired by old MK Ultra projects and the current CERN portal projects. Battlefield 4 pins the US against Chyna and Russ. Look at the situation in Ukraine and Taiwan. The people who create these stories get there inspiration from reality.
I love this game so much. The graphics, the action, mechanics, color pallete, and the excitement from single/multiplayer gameplay. I'm not the best online player, rarely get 100+ kills in a match, i suck at heli and airplane, but i dont care, you don't need to be a pro to appreciate a good game
Fr tho I thought I was the only one that suit was hard I literally hot goosebumps just by trying to blow up a tNk at close range fearing it would see me
I'm surprised they never fixed the bugs like NPCs clipping through the van and popping out of reality in the intro, and the ending scene of falling through the boat. I had it even worse, where I had all those AND the floor didn't load during the first elevator sequence, so everything looked like it was floating. Luckily that only happened once out of two playthroughs, so far.
The best Battlefield in my opinion, I haven't played them all, but it has a good solo campaign and gameplay, a lot of great weapons, satisfying headshots, nice graphics, reflections, weather variations... It looks like a mix of qualities from old games ( simple gameplay, level design, solo campaign ) and new games. I hope some dev would remind not all players are interested by multi and do like to have a good story to play.
The title of the speaker on the screen was "general chang". That kind of title is widely used in video games and movies for Chinese military figures, but using rank directly as title is actually far from the common usage way in China. A title like "comissar chang" or "chief commander chang" would be more appropriate.
I feel like a funny easter egg for the elevator scene was to just have a lone chinese soldier awkwardly stare at you while you mash the elevator button
I can’t believe I spend 40 bucks on BF2042 and never touch it but miss playing BF4 on my PS4. I have PC so graphics wouldn’t be too bad either. We need a BF4 remaster.
11:23 Too bad those inner corridors of the skyscraper weren't included in the multiplayer, it would make Siege of Shanghai a good infantry map instead of the vehicle fest it is.
I thinks Irish was a man with humanity, hes' rather saving the civilian than obeying the order, but in the military, it was also wrong to not obey the squad leader. But he still own everyone respect.
I remember BF4 fondly. MP was janky of course and the single player campaign was... interesting. All I can think is: why is God's name would they flee towards the Suez Canal instead of back East to Okinawa or Guam?! Still a competent game that respected it's core gameplay. Something Battlefield has sorely been lacking recently.
I think that massive Chinese EMP attack destroyed all communications equipment in the region, so there was no way to get in touch with the friendly bases close by.
