The "lidilidilidili" is too funny for me. I say that in real life sometimes when the moment calls for it. Yes, Patchy is Spongebob's VO actor. Gary is so cute with the ball, especially when he meows.

Hey katanas: fun fact:This is the re released form with pstchy that they(nick) didn't match patchy lines with his mouth(it looks so bad) but anyway. There is the original on youtube somewhere and in the 1st 100 episode dvd. It's called you wish (for patchy) you originally called a number to vote the ending of SpongeBob pat or squids wish(pat wished for gum and was eaten, squid wished i never meant the two before but that fauled and got eaten) then after patchy showed the winner with potty doing the explosion. Then with a taped head to his body and then patchy wants him back in his cage.

There's a full 22 minute version of Shanghaied from the original airing with more content, it's on the 100 episodes DVD. There's more Patchy Scenes, quite a bit more, extended credits, and hypothetical wishes from Patrick and Squidward

There's alternative endings to Shangai where Patrick and squidward get the wish instead

I find it amusing to see a sponge taking a bath.

That first episode actually has two other endings for each of them getting the last wish. A few early episodes had alternate endings, like I think there's one for spongebob shooting the robot Mr. Krabs in an earlier episode, but don't quote me on that one.

There's a version of this episode where Patrick got the final wish ND one for squidward

Shanghaied is my all time favorite episode

Shanghai'd is a term from 1800s America. There was a shortage of willing men to become sailors in San Francisco, so basically tourists or newcomers to the city who didn't know the underhanded ways of the city would go to bars to get drunk, then the "agents" would select men who looked strong, young or healthy enough, and would be abducted and forced to serve on ships against their will. Sometimes they'd wake up, and just be in the middle of the pacific with no way home. Heck of a way to wake up, huh? They'd be made to sign a contract - or else - and have to serve a certain amount of time until they might be allowed to return home. A lot of relatives would go looking for them, and occasionally a sympathetic local would tell him, "Sounds like your brother's been shanghai'd." It's called being shanghai'd because that was one of the major ports the merchant vessels would sail to way, way back in the day. That's what this episode is satirizing.
