Loved watching this, as a fellow Canadian living in the US, born in Toronto and very familiar with Huntsville, you have over come a tremendous amount of trauma. I’m going through things you went through as a young girl. I can hardly do it but keep following my Mom’s words even though she’s gone.... “Keep putting one foot in front of the other baby girl” your music inspires just like my Mom did. Thank you!! ❤️ 🙏🏻
Can't stop listening to your new album - Queen Of Me. Giddy Up!, Waking Up Dreaming, Best Friend, Got It Good & The Hardest Stone are absolute bangers and on a constant repeat. Welcome back, Shania!
Marvellous interview of Shania Twain with Zane Lowe. She looks fabulous !!! Love her new album, Queen of Me ! An old song and video that I loved of Shania was - THANK YOU BABY- I don’t understand why it never gained popularity. Shania never sang it with her other popular songs when she did her world concerts.
Great interview. I love Shania. Read her book years ago. I was the Assistant to the Owner of the Motor Coach company in OR she bought her touring Coach from and she bought rows of tickets for employees to see her show in Portland. I also saw her Coach when it was in for a tuneup and refresh after the tour and saw those tiny tennis shoes and the romance novel by the bathtub with candles and thought how Sweet. So glad she got her voice back and recovered from Covid experience. She has been through a lot in her life. Such a beautiful talented human being.
It's sad that she says she feels she may never find stability at 12:50 because even as I watch her in the interview and hear her speak and talk about being so restless and exhausting to herself, I was literally thinking up to that point that it looks like she needs a massage and to completely de-stress and be in this space for a long time. Whether it's permanent or a vacation or simply building a life now that allows for that at home, she seems that she needs to de-stress much as possible and find that peace of stability, silence and relaxation for herself. Self-care and healing. But it's so good to see her. Such a talent and legendary artist.
Zane is great, he did a mind blowing interview with Kylie Minogue couple years back also..... Best interview Kylie had done aswel with Zane.... And love hes a Kiwi doing well on the world stage 🎤🙏👌 luv from New Zealand 🇳🇿🤟
Half way through I was already wow what a great conversation.I just love where you yourself can almost feel what the person themselves has gone through by the vivid and raw description of their life.I thoroughly enjoyed Shania and Zane's honest emotions and connection they shared.
Thank you so much to both of you. This was an amazing interview/discussion. I love both of you. I’ve never watched an interview from you Zane that I haven’t loved but this one was beyond.❤️
I love you Shania, you helped me through some tough times in my life even though my ex husband was obsessed with you , you helped me to keep going and be inspired thank you!
It is a great album! Not any surprise to me. You are the BEST. God, has so richly blessed you with an incredible voice. Please, keep going. I hope and pray that I get a chance to see you some where in concert in person.
What about the guys Harry's age (or there about) that go to Shania shows? Tbf...when I went, I was definitely one of the few guys there on my own, and not dragged by a girlfriend😄 I just love those records, heard them when I was a kid and rediscovered them again years later.
I love Shania. So happy she got through her bout with Covid. That must have been very scary for her and her family. If she had the jab, it's supposed to create an antibody response, and the fact that it didn't is very concerning; the whole point of vaccination is that body is left with a supply of “memory” T-lymphocytes as well as B-lymphocytes that will remember how to fight that virus in the future...
She’s such a beautiful woman the make up artist did a horrible heavy job on her make up to the point her eyes were watering and wardrobe dressed her like a airline stewardess. Let her be naturally beautiful.
Don’t worry about that…Do you know a lot of interviewers have a set of questions on sheets of paper, well this guy doesn’t have that it’s all in his head he’s very intelligent and knocks anyone else out of the ball park when it comes to do interviews
Lol gurl bye. He is a very good interviewer. He is just setting the scene for the first 6 minutes...then the rest of the 50 minutes left is all Shania!
This just goes to show your naivety. He was masterfully setting up what would end up being a range of questions she's likely never been asked before. He brought her on board, made her comfortable and they together delivered one of the better Shania interviews I've seen.
@ashley1994 That wouldn't work for me. I can get my hair pouffy, too, but you'd see clear right through it because it's thin. THAT is what I am trying to get across here. Her hair IS thick.
@Teresa B well she's talking about some pretty emotional things including trauma. But also the changes to her voice she describes throughout the interview, gave her a "I'm about to cry" aspect to her talking voice.

I didn’t recognize her either. I thought maybe she’d had an accident. Her voice is still distinctively hers. Looks completely different, but sounds the same.
The wardrobe in latest concerts.. throw it in agarbage can.. light it on fire. Bring back the classy, mature Shania. Not someone whos trying to fit inby trying to look younger. It was horrible
I would just like to say, this was the BEST interview with Shania in YEARS. Maybe even ever. Everyone always asks her the same ten questions and gets the same ten answers and a little teaser and that’s it. As part the “Up!” generation, as Shania says (I was born in ‘97), I grew up with her music and have always felt a connection to the music as a whole, and this interview really felt like it got more into the heart of who she is as a person, as a writer, as someone who has been through and seen, done, and endured so much, which I really appreciated. I feel like that about most of Zane’s interviews but this one is above the rest. I am so excited about this new record!
Born in 91, grew up in the country of Oklahoma and Montana so many of Shania’s songs have colored my childhood. I watched her documentary last night and this today. It’s felt me with so many emotions. I love seeing her come back through!!! She’s as magic as ever.
This is the very best interview I have ever heard with Shania. I love that you “went there” in a way most haven’t, and that she was an open book. Fascinating that she’s gotten to a place where she would be willing to have a purely professional relationship with Mutt. 🤯 Good for her. I’ve been a fan since day one, and she’s never seemed more comfortable in her skin. 👏 👏 👏
@@stephenraynes2148 it has NOTHING to do with aging. She doesnt look older, she looks DIFFERENT. Like shes had her eyes pulled or something, and her hair colouring course, and the way she dresses. As you age you still look like the same person...quit twisting what I said
Love Shania!!! That whole imagination escapism thing = it's called "Maladaptive Daydreaming". It's always been one of my favorite coping mechanisims too;-)
My husband is disabled and went into respiratory failure 5 years ago. I watched as they intubated him; he flat-lined for 11 minutes. He survived, and Shania's comment about the importance of air really touched me. In those moments when he was saying 'I can't breathe' and then one last gasp before there was no air, and he came back from that. It truly was a miracle. Thanks, Shania for the gratitude and celebration that you describe in this interview.
