They distract you for a reason, you are not watching the real Shania. You are watching a drag queen impersonating Shania. Come on Shania's around 60 years old, what 60-year-old woman or man looks so athletic and energetic at that age dancing, jiving and kicking their way around a stage for over an hour. If you do some digging, you will see. that this is neither Shania or a woman.
Not sure why anyone is willing to fork out for expensive concert tickets to see a singer pretend to sing throughout the concert. Most of the music is playback as well. To each is own I guess.
Second row center, onstage and on stage. Not lip-syncing. If you actually listed inflections are different and her voices is lower. Her adlibs are different every concert. Saw this show two times. Again, 2nd row center. No lip-syncing. If she was lip-syncing why would she have her voice crack or have any issue since surgery. They all would sound perfect. There are always jam tracks used. Everyone also in the band sings backup. Find the same song in a different video clip of the concert and compare them.
Wonder if she is really enjoying herself. The concert seems robotic and joyless. Maybe it’s just that she’s older and it would be hard to do all that running around. Maybe she’s fussing too much with her outfits and her mic pieces.
The change in drummers has killed the act. The flow and feel that Wood brought to the stage was the life of the show. Not a fan of this neon vibe Shania is going through but she seems to enjoy it. If she does a farewall tour i hope to see her do something like Taylor Swift did, going through all her eras. Preferably in this order: 1. Up! 2. Shania Now 3. The Woman In Me 4. Queen Of Me 5. A short Shania Twain Debut set 6. Come On Over This is my dream and hope for each "era" she would capture the vibe for each one e.g. Queen Of Me would be neon stuff, Shania Now would be like that polka dot black and white stuff with some colour, Up! Would be bright colours and in clothing too, Come On Over would be lots of 90s disco red and white just very 90s, Woman In Me would be the country tavern setting she usually does and Debut would be either the snowy setting she had for the album cover or just a spotlight on her. Actually, you cannot tell anything about her voice power from that. She's singing into a microphone which is being monitored backstage by a sound technician. He uses a slider control to vary her voice between her mic & the previously recorded sound track. Therefore, it's his responsibility to control how loud her voice comes out of the loudspeakers as well as whether or not you are hearing her live voice or the previously recorded voice track. Rest assured, her voice is perfectly okay.
You missed the point. The original track was recorded in a small sound-proof studio setting with the singer standing in one position in order to record a perfectly glitch-free sound. However, concert demands are very different. Like many singers Twain moves back & forth across the stage burning up oxygen while her mic picks up ambient sound from loudspeakers, other musicians, audience noise, reverberations & echo from the air, etc. Therefore, the sound you hear at a concert is quite different from what you, in the audience, would hear if you were just listening to the recorded track. Furthermore, I presume you are listening to her songs on your cheap computer with its $5 amplifier & $5 speakers producing 5-10% total harmonic distortion! Furthermore, I guess you don't know - lip synch is standard practice used by virtually all singers since the 1930s. There might be nothing wrong with the singers' voice; but, there's plenty wrong with the way the song reaches your ears.@@live2cd
Okay I get the voice is gone, but all the paint, the wig, the cosmetics is freaking me out. Is Shania under there?Someplace? The sound, the weird dancers, the overplaying mediocre drummer. It’s all a little off putting.
