@@martinward10 I agree. Taylor Swift may have took off where Shania left off but let's not forget how Shania had to disappear at the height of her career because of Limes Disease. Taylor in the other hand, released albums non-stop for 18 years to keep her relevance and solidify her sales.
@@diway18shania is a country legend and taylor once was a big country star inspired by shania but taylors current pop career has little to do with shania. Sure shania was poppier with up! album but 1989, reputation, midnights are nothing like shanias music.
@@diway18 That's not what happened. She probably hurt her vocal chords by singing incorrectly. She stepped down because she was getting old and couldn't really sing anyway. After Mutt left her, she had no one to manufacture her sound as well as he did. The truth came out: Eileen Edwards can't sing.
She has changed herself so much to fit into a younger market...going from naturally gorgeous to some dress up doll that doesn't seem like herself at all...
I prefer her in brunette. Everybody changes with time and she still Shania Twain but in my opinion she will be more elegant and classy likes she uses to with a more minimalist style because she's beautiful so not tha best fashion style for her.
It`s called sound problems. There was other singers as well that had the same problems with the sound. They could not hear them selves when they performed.
Existe uma consagração melhor para um artista, não. Ver uma multidão cantando junto as suas canções, é maravilhoso! Eu me sinto feliz aqui no Brasil, vendo estes vídeos todos...e ela canta ao vivo!!! Perfeita nossa Shania!!!
Hopefully this is an isolated incident because if this is how she sounds now it's time to call it a career. She's lowered the key down to Johnny Cash levels and still can't even hit the basic notes. And no, you can't blame it on the Lyme Disease. Not unless it's a recurrence. She rehabilitated and made her come back in Las Vegas in 2012 and has sounded decent ever since then.... until now.
@@PhysicalMediaPreventsWea-bx1zm Tell the truth. I have been to seven concerts with her. She sings live and she does it well. Everyone can have sound problems, and there was other artists as well that had the same problems at the festival.
It’s not as wow but it’s authentic! It takes courage to lose your ability to sing like she had and keep going on! She’s incredibly talented regardless!
She lost her good voice years ago n had to relearn to sing so that’s why this doesn’t sound as good as it used to be but still she did her best to sing it for the fans because that’s what entertainers do ❤
God bless u Shania giving it all u got u truly are amazing love you thanks well she is trying that's all u can do is try and I'm fine with that I'm proud of her u go girl
She can sing. I bet you dont know there was sound issues for a few singers at the festival. Shania had sound issues and could not hear herself. Not her fault.
@@slagelse77... Sound problems do not explain what's happening with her voice. It's one thing to not hit high notes but she can't even sing the basic melody here. It's sad.
@@PhysicalMediaPreventsWea-bx1zm Have you ever been to a Shania concert? I have been to seven concerts. She does sing live and she can do the melody. Shania like everyone else can have sound problems where they dont hear themselves.
I AM SO TOUCHED for this song have made deep meaning in my life, dont let go and dont give up, i love you a lot.... ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ True Love awaits..from this Moment
@@hmhm2970 That's why it's important to accept when it's time to step aside and let someone else take the place. She already shone in her golden era. Besides, it's not about age; just look at Mick Jagger...
@@guestguest2030... Take out the "insecure about" from your statement and you will be correct: she is aging. People's faces change when they get older. She's not 25 years old anymore. She's pushing 60.
I remember seeing her when she first come on the scene. I saw her perfect teeth and thought that she really looked after them. Turned out ALL! of them are FAKE!!!!! 😂🤣😂 Silly me. 😂🤣😂

I love Shania just as much as the next person but she really needs to Never sing a note live again. We are all just supporting her because we are fans but in reality her voice sounds terrible and do any of us really want to punish her ears listening to a singer who absolutely cannot sing at all anymore. I really do feel horrible of all the stuff that she went through but artists need to know when to bow out gracefully. I love you Shania and you are a legend
@@orianeasmore8941 I tend to agree but I wonder if it's all the sycophants who surround these celebs telling them they're wonderful meaning they lose track of reality. Like Ringo on drums (though he could never play!) Paul McCartney groaning away (and he never had a voice) or Madonna still trying to be 18 prancing about in a thong! Contrast with Neil Tennant aged 70, who acts it, and retains his talent, in 'New Bohemia', Mark Knopfler or Emmylou-Harris. The music industry is not a nice place. There's a time for old codgers to step back and let the young have the floor.
@@johnbobson1557or maybe music makes her happy so she won’t let her vocal struggles keep her from doing what she loves. She keep lying talks about how she isn’t as strong of a vocalist as she used to be.
@@Paulinei3 Perhaps Pauline, I guess none of us like getting old and cling on to our youth. Someone once said; "Inside every 70 year old is a 35 year old asking, 'What happened'? "
@@orianeasmore8941courage? I’m not sure she’s even aware how much she sucks. I think it would have been courageous for her to decline the invitation and admitting she wasn’t capable. THAT would have taken courage, but most importantly it would have taken some kind of self awareness. And it’s obvious she’s lacking in self awareness. Anyone with any self respect would have declined. Even the musicians in her band are mediocre. Either that or none of them can hear themselves. As a professional musician for the last 22 years I can tell yo that the only time I’ve seen mistakes like this from so many members of a band, especially bc they’re consistently off key or out of time, is when they can’t hear themselves in the monitor. I honestly HOPE that’s their excuse. Bc if it’s not their inability to hear themselves through their monitors then this is worse than I thought.
Her voice was always very similar to this. In the studio Mutt Lange always pitched it up and hyper-edited it to give it that 90s super sweet and polished adult contemporary sound. Her voice was always raw and amazing. Enjoy.
Mutt did nothing to her voice. She sounded exactly the same live back then. Even recently in the last few years. But something happened where she just can't sing at all now
I thought this was one of her strongest performances. Loved the show. Some people need to remember the old adage.. if touve nothing nice to say then dont say anything at all
she was just in edmonton and sang her songs fine in full voice,.. either shes sick or cant hear here.. becuz literally june 2024 she sang amazing in edmonton
@@guestguest2030 Not lip syncing. Shania is always singing live. There was some sound issues, and she could not hear herself all the time during her set at Glastonbury.
From the other clips of performances from this festival, she nailed this one. Not in the way she would have before her illness but still… Yes, listen, some of her other performances weren’t good. But understand that Lyme disease is a harsh disease and attacks many of our bodies structures. For her, her vocal cords. She couldn’t even speak for a long while and had to have corrective surgery She’s fighting to try and get back to some semblance of her old life…give her a break!
