She had Lyme disease which damaged nerves in her vocal cord, and had thoat surgeries. If I were her I’d simply retire, but she chose and made the efforts to return to the stage and sing for us the fans. Personally I have nothing but respect and appreciation for her dedication.
FYI! Shania is the 1st and only female artist to sell 3 consecutive DIAMOND ALBUMS of all time. Her COME ON OVER album is the all-time best selling album by a female artist in all genre all over the world.

Her voice is definitely NOT still the one. Going to see Pretenders with Chrissie at 72YO who can still sing and doesn't have any female backup singers.
I've seen Shania live previously. Love her music I know she's had issues with her voice and a battle with Lymes disease (which apparently affects the nerves that are responsible for controlling the muscles in the vocal cords), plus she's no spring chicken. But bless her, having watched this performance I still think she has a special voice and particularly beautiful timbre :) :) :)

You don't have to like her, but she's not like Madonna!! Now, Madonna is tone deaf, horrible voice, and can't even dance!! In real like she sings way lower than her recordings, and her voice is thin and squeeky!!
OMG - this is terrible, and really exposes what her voice has gone through with health issues and surgeries!! It's great that she's a "trooper" and still performs for her fans, and I hate to post this and sound like a "hater" because I'm a fan, but hearing this just makes me really sad! Sport's people don't perform or try to play once they are old and injured, and it's time for Shania to retire with dignity!! We have her at her prime on RU-vid forever, and these performances just tarnish her memory!!
